@Java:
1. Accounting. I have 90+ in everything except accounting. The teacher is way too strict!

2. No, I hate the subject and am dropping it next year. Math is great, and I love advanced mathmatics, but accounting puts me to sleep. It's not the difficulty level, but rather that it's simply too dull. I consider it 'below me'. ;)

3. No program, see above.

4. Sorry bud.

--

Yeah, that probably didn't help much.

---

On another topic, I'm having some serious problems. It only recently occured, and most likely has to do with upgrading my graphics card using a driver from toshiba. However, I'm reluctant to roll-back because GAE didn't work on my last version. I suppose I'll try the official drivers from ATI's webpage, but not sure how they'll do since laptops usually have heavily modified graphics drivers (or so I hear). Any advice before I try anything?

EDIT// Bloody... I forgot to mention what was wrong! You see, the windows are flickering and the thing for that window in the taskbar 'reloads' (best defined as shrinks as though it were about to close, then grows as though it were opening). Everything still WORKS, but sometimes I have to push buttons multiple times because the display flickers the moment I push the button (GAE took three clicks to close!). It happens the most when scrolling, highlighting text, and clicking, though occasionally random. Google didn't help too much, as I found a good number of people with similar simptoms, but no cure.

I've found a youtube video that seems to show EXACTLY what is happening to me (I didn't make it, somebody else did). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQA61_jwr4Q

Anyone know what to do or any ideas/advice, etc?

ATI Radeon X1200. Unfortunately, ATI doesn't seem to carry a driver for that. Must be Toshiba only... CRAP!

How? I know very little about hardware (though my laptop is only two years old). Personally, I'd rather buy a new laptop in a bit (summer?). Mine has some bad faults, including the Black screen of death (monitor blacks out, but still on), this flickering effect, and stuff. However, laptops are expensive, and I don't want one cheaper than my current one, since that'd probably impare me more, and this one is $600...

Mine is fast and has pretty good graphics, but its acting odd......

However, I tried to roll back the driver with no success, so it's not the graphics. Anyone have any ideas? I think I'd best run windows update when I get a decent internet connection...

I updated my comp using windows update last night and updated the antivirus, as well as set up a bootscan to scan everything on startup. However, it never finished before I had to go to school, so no word on success until later...

Windows update didn't fix it...  :(

Tried everything from checkdisk to that utility that checks for modified system files (name cant remember).

The performance seems SLIGHTLY better though. I'll continue looking to see if I can find any odd drivers...

Oh, and google.

Have you tried a registry cleaner?
I don't really know if it's related to your issue, but it certainly helps your computer's overall speed.

Yeah. I use glary utilities. I'm gonna do a disk defrag too (doubt it'll help, strongly) but that took me over a day last time...

Trying everything. Windows 7 is very new, so I'll give it a month to try and find a solution, then I'll try a reinstall (it wasn't like this when I installed it. Happened a couple days later).

Yah, I was about to say, AVG is no where near as good as Avast, also considering you get more features with the free version of Avast than you do with AVG.

Regarding computer maintenance software, I recommend Glary Utilities (the 1-Click Maintenance feature is very handy) and Auslogics Disk Defrag.  Both are free (as in no-cost).

Here is a vid I for evry one to see.
That was actually really interesting!  He presents thought-out arguments with evidence and citation, and does so in a rational (instead of hostile) manner.  I think that's what was missing from the "creation vs. evolution" debate earlier.

Anyone who's still interested in that debate should definitely watch that video.  I watched all 16 parts, which might be asking a bit much for some of you, but it's really good stuff.

Yeah Auslogics Disk Defrag is great.
I recently got the Pro version of Glary Utilities for free (http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/glary-utilities-pro-29/)
One thing though, is that I usually never trust the "1 click type maintenance" thing. I don't really trust it because you never really know if something went wrong. Otherwise Glary Utilities is great...even though I don't use it very often...
And the vid is interesting, I can't really watch all of it because of time issue, but it is very debatable.   :)
