my greatest glest game
« on: 7 February 2009, 20:47:20 »
Ok, it might be boring for you but for me and my sons it was the best game ever!

Look at this screenshot from a 2 hour game!
Look at the kills and units and harvested ressources! This was the biggest fight we ever had!
I played versus my sons in the map OvergrownCity. I played indian, and my sons persian and norsemen.
In the end the computers slowed down massivly, but we didn't get out of sync ( In fact we never get out of sync in local network games )
This was a very very good game with real monster battles (Your eyes could not follow the battles in the end ).

Who won? Since you said that you took the picture, I'm assuming that you lost. (It says on the top, Overgrown City - Defeat)

Whoever player one is, I wanna challenge him!

It was me ( but the screenshot was taken on my sons computer).
My boys forgot to seddle and had no more wood in the end. I was nearly destroyed, but then they ran out of wood :).
I had 4 villages in the end, producing as much ressources as I want ...

i have these huge battles between Dominion and Elementals,
on my maps i think i uploaded it, it's called hills and swamps a 2vs2 maps or 1vs1 or whatever
i have everyone on CPU-Ultra:

Human-Dominion-Team1
Cpu-ultra-Dominion-Team-1
Cpu-ultra-Elementals-Team-2
Cpu-ultra-Elementals-Team-2

i let my ally do most of the fighting until i was built up with all the upgrades and then i started producing bombards and armored war machines and arena masters and i walled the enemy, i thought my attack wasn't going to be successful but then i noticed my ally had this huge line of troops coming down from their camp and we just completely wiped out the two enemies, 15 min, some really big battles!

Thus why I hate allies. They usually just get killed early on, or they do too good and take away all the fun. Either way, it sort of ruins the game for me (a human allie might be nice. One I can talk to coordinate attacks with... FUN! Bad internet makes this impossible... >:( )

yeah i agree a human allie would be better
what i do to keep the allie from ruining the game,i either protect them, or destroy some of their buildings so they don't get to strong or be defeated

normally when I have allies, they are close to me, so it is easier to defend them, and i put them only as "CPU" not Ultra, so they develop slower and don't ruin the fun.
