well i'm not doing alpha beta....v1.3, v1.4  cause it's to tedious and i don't want people to download a version that isn't complete

the Dominion is a powerful race dominating most races:dwarves, elves, other factions of tech, that oppose them, dark mages...and many more,
can the elementals defeat them, and bring freedom back to the world?

What I did for my mod was move the icons from the archmage folder into the units folder and then changed the references in all the XMLs from "../archmage/magic_stop.bmp" to "../magic_stop.bmp".  It took a little while to change all the references (not really, since you can just auto-replace) but it made it so I could get rid of the archmage folder completely and not have to worry about it.  The same goes for the icons in the archer folder.

Actually it's pretty fast if you use an auto-replace feature like in Notepad (I'm not sure what the Linux equivalent is) where you set it to automatically replace "../archmage/magic" with "../magic" and "../archer/tech" with "../tech".  That *should* fix everything perfectly and should only take a couple minutes to go through all your XMLs.

So, work on 1 mod and best as you can, dont make loads.
And make new models!

Awe come on... Don't you think that's a LITTLE harsh. I mean, how arer you gonna learn other stuff without school?

Now to make a point to my post, I can't help but think that you could do to put a little more time and effort before even releasing an alpha. Like go learn how to make a model and make the mod after that. No offense, but re textured just doesn't cut it these days...

I agree.  Most of the mods here are finished or nearly so before they get released, and I think that's how people like it.  I've got a substantial amount of modeling done on my mod and I don't plan on releasing it for quite a while, unless somebody asks me to.

Download another version, my Blander is 2.3, because the newest didn't accept some .NIF and .G3D importers/exporters.

Thank god, my spellchecker wasn't helping, and I was (stupidly) clueless!

*An alpha release should have all the XMLs done, and (in my opinion) at least half the models
*Beta should have all the models
*Final should have models, sound, XMLs, and any extras added in

 well let's do what modman is doing with his dark magic faction, let balance, remodel and maybe do new sound
i  can find pretty good sounds on the internet, but if someone can record some sounds specifically for my faction then i'd be very greatful
i could use a lot of help with modeling i will try to do buildings since i can't animate, i'm going to try exporting to g3d stuff and see if i can get my blender back  up again.

any help you can give will be great :)
cause i'm working on a new faction and i want to have new models in this one
so i'll be busy with that and this

latest news about this mod:

i think i might take it down for a while and try to work on modeling
but i would need some help

i have downloaded blender 2.48a to replace the none working one
to "madelf" :the reason i downloaded 2.48a is because i can't find a download for 2.3 if you find one please let me know

i'm going to do a bit of work on this mod in the future for right now i'm going to work on learning blender
i can do buildings(only basic), i don't know how to animate so i'm going to post my models, ask someone to animate them for me, and i really could use some help with texturing models
exporting to g3d is going to be a focus for me right now, and then advanced modeling and then texturing, and then animation(plans are bound to change)

any help you want to give would be great! :)
