I don't think I assumed, but I can't remember where my "evidence" is from.

MadElf will be back in about a week I think.

That's quite a long week. Do we think we're going to see a fully polished version of this?

Nobody has heard from MadElf for a really long time, so I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

Sometimes people just die off the forums.  Its natural.  Although very sad, at least it wasn't someone like Omega, who helps a lot of people develop glest skills.

I personally have never played this tileset, but it looks very cool.

I'm flattered.

It wasn't meant to be flattering, it was my opinion.  ::)  I meant people who were very active.

Its OK to be flattered.   :D

OFF TOPIC ALERT!

This has gone so far off topic.  Please test the tileset if you have not already, then post critiques.  This is what the topic is for.

I don't know what the current state of the water is, but in general I want these things:
https://forum.megaglest.org/index.php?topic=4189.msg23687#msg23687

I think you have to invent another tree/bush or whatever to harvest it.

And a proper license for the tileset would be good! I currently prefer a dual license system ( GPL and CC-BY-SA ) and
I also try to make the next megapack compatible with it.
With these licenses everyone can use it in its way :).
By the way, I would be very happy if I can include this in the next megapack!

Add Joshua Tree model.

Maybe rethink the white and black colored checkerboard surface type and replace it with a dirt/short grass type texture - the comparative example of that would be titi's winter tileset with the grass and snow - scrub land would just replace the snow with sand, dirt or dried mud polygon and limited patches of green grass.

Looking forward to the next version of this tileset. ;D

titi found an excellent example of Joshua Tree scrub land - those rocky hills are full of sidewinders and rattlesnakes. :o

I snapped this photo of a high plains desert canyon located in NW Nevada, USA. Not many folks live out here - ranchers and a few remote Indian outposts.
