CPU: Amd 4400X2
GFX: Nvidia Geforce 8600GT
RAM: 2GB
HD: Samsung 750GB ( a good normal mainstream HD )

OS: Ubuntu 8.04 32bit :)

So I think its not really fast nowadays.

I haven't found the time to try this mod yet, but after seeing the video, I think I might have to make some time.

wow man, just played the faction!

i even managed to win with one tech against tech/magic... i usually suck.
especially the ainmals look wonderful; the snake when it stands up to spite.
the scarabs are very strong but i think its ok, its like battlemachines or golems

i really think the techtree is very intuitive(?) i got behind it the first time i played it,
when i remember of northmen, thats really great.

musik sounds good, too.

i have really no ideas what could be improved next to icons and speech; so great work titi 8)

i like it! it is a fun mod! (i love to watch the mummies die, it looks so cool).

things you could improve:
all of the units need a way to regen their health (whether by regen or by healer)
you need to give them an "uber" unit (like being able to morph the sphinx into a massive unit after research)
the "gods" should be a tad stronger, they dont hold up well
needs new sounds...
the spearthrowers should do a bit more damage (and the associated research should increase attack strength, not armor)
Anubis needs new death anim, doesnt look right (i like the sand idea from The Mummy 2)

that's all that i can think of, but nevertheless, good job!

well archmage centrino is still then best proccessor for battery conservation that practicly exists for windows and linux at least. Also my computer is dual core and  ::) whats the point of using a supercomputer I mean thats only worth getting if you use vista or a linux equivalent I reccomend not wasting ten thousand dollars and running your system with windows xp or kubuntu, ubuntu, or xubuntu the only good os' out there. And my computer isnt the fastest thing on earth but it works for what I do so I really dont need to be a multimillionare to be happy

I don't know, but definitly this year 8)
Its hard to say, currently the nile tileset is a bit more attractive to me, but when I get more time to do something ....
Currently only the sounds are missing and maybe some animations (destruction/ production ), but this is no big deal.

I still got no feedback for my requests about the license of the background music!!
Maybe I have to search for something else again.

I still need sounds for the ibis. Is anyone with a adult voice willing to record/make it for me? John?

I need things like the following these:
Please record everything 4 times, so we can choose the best version.

Selection:
What do you want?
What?
At your service?
Thoth is ready for action!         ( Thoth is an egypt god )
I want to kill....

Acknowledge:
OK
I will do it
Your wish is my command
Yes

Fighting:
( something that the ibis could shout/cry when he attacks )

Die:
UUuuargh ......
( and so on 5 different dying sounds for  falling ibis )

I really think someone should learn an egyptian accent first.  I learned a greek accent and attempted to perfect in use for one of my mods, but have yet to use it.  An egyptian accent would add theme, even if people did not recognize it as being egyptian.  I used youtube videos by linguists, (and believe me there are plenty of egyptologist linguists), but other sources could [I am tentatively saying this because hollywood is a little inaccurate, being, well, hollywood] be movies about egyptians.

So you want the Ibis to have a normal human voice?  Is there any specific kind of voice or inflection you want?  I can make my voice sound a lot of different ways...

hollywood is a little inaccurate, being, well, hollywood
Yeah, I wouldn't trust Hollywood, considering Romans always have British accents in movies. :P

I think the normal voice should be the base...
may be I mix a splashing sound into it for the attack or I add some kind of echo?

You can also do this, maybe we get something useful :) .

and for the sounds, I think all the sounds I can record here have some kind of german accent  :-X . But I hope it works! I'm really open for al kind of help! The scarab and the snake also could have better sounds than the ones I recorded.

To an english speaking american person (or canadian, or australian, or english person) a german accent probably sounds exotic, and frankly, good enough as far as sounding like other regions' accents.  Just use the german accent, titi.

Considering the Magitech voices have all different kinds of accents, I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Edit: Okay, I'm playing around with different effects in Audacity, and I think I can make a pretty good Goa'uld voice, which I think will sound really good.  I'll wait until tomorrow to do the recordings so that my roommates will be gone. ;D

Need any other sounds that I can help with?

On the topic of accents, I wouldn't worry too much. Because of hollywood, etc, people don't know accents very well. I realized this when some people had to learn an accent and when they heard the person speaking the accent, they didn't realize it was a genuine accent, and kept saying that wasn't how it sounds. :D

Not to mention accents are pretty hard. I had to learn a british accent for this dracula radio play we did in school, and I just couldn't get it so I had to trade parts, taking the captain and dracula instead (apparently the teacher liked my draculan accent though, praising me highly for it, despite the fact I was just playing how I thought it should sound, having never seen dracula before...)

yes , my "gods" are still open ( scrab/snake/ibis ). And the spearthrower needs some sounds too ( he already has spearthrowing sounds ).

I'm currently working on a new glest version for the megapack which only loads the factions which are really needed and it will come with another little surprise.
