Making a documentation for xml files would be a hard work, but most of the files are easy to understand, and I'll answer any questions about this.

<command>
   <type value="morph"/>
   <name value="Promote to Battlemage"/>
   <image path="../Battlemage/images/battlemage.bmp"/>
   <unit-requirements/>
   <upgrade-requirements/>

   <morph-skill value="Morph Skill"/>
   <morph-unit name= "Battlemage"/>
   <discount value="0"/>
</command>

what does the <unit-requirements/> and the <upgrade-requirements/> mean? The requirement of the Battlemage stands in the xml file of the battelmage.

Yes, you are right, the requirements are also in the file of the battlemage, but this requirements are for this command. To be morphed, the requirements for the command and for the unit that is going to morph to must be met. That way you can make more than one type of unit morph to the same unit and have different requirements. Usually command requirements are used for attack commands, for example in the Archmage.

Yes again, you can morph to any kind of unit.

But Enveloop said that we couldn't morph a ground unit into an air unit :confused:

Hi, I've just spent a few hours parsing through the file reading code and have got a list of all the tags which can be used in the tech tree, faction, unit, resource, and upgrade files and some notes about them (very brief).  Is there somewhere I could upload them (there's too many to just put them in a post)? I thought this might help people who want a reference when making new units or other things.

Dan

edit:
I uploaded the files on a friends webserver
http://www.psdweb.org/pub/glest/
Sorry that they're a bit ugly.  I hope they can be of use.

You can post them in a topic and I'll sticky it.

Thanx.

there is no way to do that, right? (i´m experimenting right now to perhaps find a hack for that restriction).
