My little ideas for Glest.

Hello, im fan of this game, it looks very good and I wud like to tell you what wud be nice in future versions...(sry if i write to bad discusion part)

-tech archers use bolts... it could be nice to make them able to be upgraded so they would use arrows instead of bolts. so they will hit enemy even if it is moving.(or default arrows with fire )

- magi behemots or (how its called) should be a lot bigger and much more expensive... it wud be nice if they can smash down trees.

it needs zoomable camera, or at least camera relative to terrain height ...

... in menu options as : revealed map , daytime(day,night,changing)
some mod with unlimited gold... limited gold=quick skirmish, unlimited=normal game.

In-game editor (as if you were in combat but you can edit anything u want)

Thats all  ??? good luck  ::)

...and... tech anti air engineer should can slowly pack and unpack his antiair gun so he can change place

last more urgent problem, when i select unit and try to send to attack anywhere, almost always hapens that the unit is deselected.

I reply to your message

-zoomable camera: You can zoom:F for active free camera mode, and after Wfor zoom in.
-tech anti-air: you have many anti-ait unit:archer,defense tower,air ballista,ornithopter, so I think tech do not need other anti-air unit
-behemoth: not bigger because it is the most bigger unit in glest.

thanks.shud be nice to have some unit who can gain experience. if it dies, u loose him. some people call it hero.
(so there will be somebody who you have to take care of... so it wud be more interesting)

engineers should heal automatically ... its boring to click on each unit if u have 20 wounded warriors :D

The kill stats was a form of experience. Exemple:Swordman can become Elite swordman after 3 kills.

i know this is very good thing... but then we need at least autoheal for engineer...

u can do it like engineer heals on his own but he has limited mana fol healing... thats kewl

If you install GAE, there is already autoheal there.

Bigger = Bad
Smashing the trees = SWEET! (Burn all the foes wood up, lol. Ok, this is actually useless, but... *funny*)

Hit F to switch to free Camera, then use WASD keys. W is zoom forward, S is zoom back, A is tilt left, D is tilt right. GAE allows more zooming out than Glest.

Revealed map would be nice, but that would be unfair"ish". I would say just having a bigger map for a 'pause' screen that shows resources and stuff. Daytime??? What do you mean? And the unlimited gold part? No go.

For testing purposes only. I can't help but think that people would exploit this to cheat, which is no fun, and obviously what you had in mind... (no offense though)

In my opinion, the only 2 things that Glest need are: Walls and Orcs, nothing less, nothing more, I like the way it is.

The ent is smaller, it's 1x1.

Secondly, the ent is not an official part of magitech.

Gosh, to make the magi-behemoth able to smash down trees just give it a harvest skill and command,make the animation for the harvesting the same as it's attack animation, make it's harvest speed really high, and set it's resource holding capacity to 0. That way it won't have any minerals to return to the base with and it can smash down trees, though you'd have to command it to smash down every single tree...

Fastest way to ruin a game man (no offense meant). All I have to do is destroy trees till we run out of resources... BAH!

Doesn't work.  For my Sun faction, I gave the Laborer the same wood harvesting skill as Tech's Worker, but set its "max load value" to 0.  When I tested it in-game, it seems to have just given each Laborer a random max load value, since I have three of them, one storing 149 wood, one storing 151 wood, and one storing 300 wood.  I'm currently working on a way to make it work.

i've noticed there's a glitch in the game when your mining and you have over the limit for WOOD, and you tell him to harvest wood he just keeps mining until you tell him to build or walk
