How Do I Play Multiplayer With My Friend?!?!

I downloaded it...He downloaded it...I tried putting his IP in there...It just says

Server Type   < New >

Server    <  I PUT HIS IP HERE >

Not Connected

(Buttons)  <Return>    <Connect>

When I hit connect nothing happens

Please help!

Did your friend click on New Game before you tried to connect? Also what version are you using?

I'm also having this problem with 2 computer connect via Airport with Internet sharing. I have Glest 3.2. Both computers have Mac OS 10.5.6. I start up a new game with a human a network player. Then I try to connect to the IP address of the other computer. It says it is connected but nothing happens. There are no firewalls turn on.

If you have a 'network' slot open, the player trying to connect should appear on the right in the new game screen. When all is configured you hit the play now button. Currently nothing but "connected" appears on the client computer.

I am using Ad Hoc. So i suppose PSN isnt really used.

I'm not sure what you're saying. If you mean an ad hoc wireless network it should work the same as wired as long as you have an IP address.

Your freind needs to start a new game (custom) and then after that then put his IP that should work if you have the newest VR

What's funny is, I've done the same thing, new game, (with the network slot on), put in our IP's, and nothing happened. We have the same versions also.

Here: If you arent on
LAN, the host has to "PORT FORWARD"  ;)
