What is Glest advanced engine

Uhmmm.. im sowwwie if im a noobie
im quite learing python and c++ and well i wnna programm
a 3D mmorpg Game online with java or like Glest
and i was wondering if any of you guys can help me out ?
i would appriciated very much and also i was wondering
what was glest advanced engine???
is it some Kind of mmorpg maker or a source files
what do i need for me to make a mmorpg i wnna make this
Dream possible and i have been dreaming for it for a long time
i want it real bad..
i dnt like realm crafter cuz my computer wont take it..
can any of you knw what does glest use to make he's mmorpg??
i seriously em very intrested on learning i would do anything

Glest is no MMORPG.

One advice: don't even start your MMOPRG. You will fail.

Glest is currently a simple RTS engine, and GAE is an extension of it. But if you want to make a MMORPG so seriously, why don't you search for a team on the net? I heard Blizzard is looking for coders for a next generation MMORPG.

I find it unlikely they would hire someone with no or very little experience.

http://www.worldforge.org/ might be a good place to start if you wanted to make an mmorpg but I suggest learning how to program first. There are plenty of websites with tutorials on programming.

Playing with existing code can sometimes be a fun way to learn, but it can also lead to a lot of frustration.  But the good part is that if you screw things up really badly, you can just overwrite your changes with the original code and try again

Anyway, Glest is not an mmorpg or even an rpg although some people prefer for it to have rpg elements.  Off Topic, I have actually have some ideas bouncing around in my head on how to implement a game style as a hybrid RTS/FPS with a lot of team elements (more than one player per faction) that might end up being cool.
