What version of Glest?
From where/How did you download/install it?

Linux mint,  synaptic and, 3.2.1 But it really isn't a problem any more I figured it out by playing and built a really big army and they got so big that they were close enough to the enemy that they automatically killed them all and destroyed every thing not the cool strategic victory I was looking for but good none the less.

Thanks  don't think I'll be able to use that tactic often It involves continuous gold mining  the building of 5 baraks continuous wood cutting and neglecting of stone and a LOT of cows  ;)

Even though you may not feel the need to fix the problem anymore, it would be handy if you could answer these questions please:

1. Can you do a scenario?

2. What happens when you try to run a tutorial (error message, crash, etc;)? Be sure to switch to windowed (not fullscreen) as I've seen some crash messages don't display in that mode. Alternatively, run glest in a command line (or whatever linux can do).

Interesting tactic, but don't get your hopes up about needing a good strategy. Glest's AI is actually somewhat poor...

Maybe it will be improved sometime in GAE (looks at silnarm hopefully, sets alarm clock for 1 year ahead, and goes to sleep ;))

Every thing works but the tutorial and the "join game" option and I got no erroer and I don't know how to run it in the command line (we call it the terminal)
