Working and fighting work awful with the AI, please don't let the elephant harvest, I have seen so often that magics battle capable initiates get slaughtered and my AI ally can't help me any more. :(

Yes, but the elephants are mainly meant for war, harvesting is secondary (They still have normal workers).
Get the Vbros': Packs 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5!

Why not two sorts of elephant? I like the idea of using animals to harvest

I thought African elephants weren't domesticated anyway

They're not.  Of course, Hannibal et al. used war elephants, but AFAIK those were all imported from Asia.

i like the idea of the elephant harvesting. he's my proposed balance: the Persian War Elephant should be physically stronger and more durable, but the African one can harvest

this is how we should resolve this. the Persian ones have a ranged attack, the African one doesnt.....

BTW whats Wrong with having a Attacker that harvests....?

It simply doesn't make sense, as numerous people have pointed out. The african faction should be, well, based on the africans.

i like it for the balance though.....maybe if they were Indian Elephants (Because we all know that Eastern Indians used elephants for nearly everything)

There's no need for it to affect the balance though. Military units shouldn't harvest though (or the other way around) because then the AI uses them wrong, which then leads to a negative balance.

By simply keeping the attack strength in check, there's no reason the balance should be affected.

Fine I'll remove the harvesting Skill.

the Persian and the African elephants need to be different. it's why i supported the whole harvesting thing.....

(when i mean "different," i mean you cant just change their stats by a tad....)
