OK, I played a few games but didn't get to see much...so far I found that:
Crossbow: maybe add something to the attack? maybe make it have particles with the attack?
Strengthen Weapons Upgrade: Wayyyyyyy tooo slowwww!
Monkey Trainer: Why does he not be with the startup units anymore...basically breaks the purpose of monkeys...
Archer: Should be more wood and less gold right?
lol the Walls were actually a bit useful, but the engineers aren't... :/

Great improvement though.

ive played around with it, and here's some feedback:

what's wrong with this picture? (even though i use GAE, it shouldnt be any different)

the advanced weapons (aka "advanced wepons") doesnt do much, needs a buff. and i agree with ultifd - takes too long.
you spelled "guard tower" wrong (you said "gaurd tower")
as i mentioned before, what in the world is "advanced wood"? (some of your upgrades dont make much sense, not just in this faction....)
i see that one of the upgrades is "speed up priest production," so i looked for a priest.....but it seems i was mislead......
how do a bunch of natives get a crossbow or an air ballista?
the two monkey types need to be cosmetically different, i couldnt tell them apart!

good job, tiger, it's turning out great!

@Slow upgrade time I wonder how long it would have took... IIRC, it was past 10 minutes before the building got destroyed and it was still at 15%.   :-X

Also one more thing that I don't get, instead of the clubman being associated with the starting units, shouldn't it be the spearman?

Regarding Zoy's screen shot, it seems to indicate that the Clubman model is missing and probably the guys riding the um -- okay honestly I have no clue what those are -- are probably using JPEG textures, or they're missing as well.  Same goes for the... uh... is that a gazelle?  I honestly don't know what most of this stuff is supposed to be, and that's saying a lot because I spent a lot of time watching Discovery when I was little, so it's safe to say I know quite a bit about African wildlife.

Somewhere in the world, an anthropologist, a carpenter, an engineer, and a historian all facepalmed at the same time. :|  Could you at least put forth some kind of effort at trying to understand the groups of people you're portraying?

When you were 15 years old what kind of 3D models did you produce? Overall though I think Tiger is doing very well and think  he should keep up the good work! His skills are getting better it looks to me and some creativity makes the faction interesting.

Have a look at the models in Mega Glest, with the right textures they might look a lot better.

Tiger, it's a good start, it really is; but some things just dont make sense. if you are going to portray a culture, you cant just give it whatever the heck you want. I would love to see the African guys in the Megapack, so here's some suggestions on how to make them a tad more accurate.

i know that i brought this up before in this thread, but i personally think that all human range guys should throw spears (African tribals did not have arrows).
they dont need the "air ballista." the Guard Tower hits both land and air, so it's ok!
they didnt ride lions and crocodiles (well, maybe crocodiles....), but i can let this side (a dude riding a lion is kinda cool.....)

My point isn't to say "boo, you suck!"  It's to say "I know you can do better than this if you actually try."  To those of us who know anything at all about African history, culture, warfare, etc., a ballista is just about as jarring as a giant, flying, cybernetic polar bear.  Is half an hour on Wikipedia too much to ask? :-\

It's not the models, or the lack of them, but rather the fact it doesn't make sense. Even at 15, you should know that a crossbow does not make sense. Lots of people on the board are 15-18 years old and have created mods.

I have to admit, I'm with John on this. It's not that you don't have the skills Tiger, it's that you aren't trying.

It's to say "I know you can do better than this if you actually try."

Well I want A unit That shoots for air.

If I rid the

lion rider
crossbow
air ballistic

There wouldn't be enough units!

If you could give me Ideas With what to replace them....

Possibly I could change the archer to spear thrower.
But The monkey trainer already Throws spears....

so? just make the tamer more expensive than the spearthrower!

you could give them a Zulu warrior who is fast and powerful, but relatively expensive.

tbh, i can easily see them as a spam faction, able to quickly and cheaply make tons of weak units....

Seeing you won't do the research:

Zulu warriors would be the elite units, as they were very skilled fighters. Africa would also have war elephants in the north. The Mandingo horsemen inspired quite a lot of fear and were very effective. Depending on the intended timespan, there can be guns, though around the times of the Zulu warrior, they were not very skilled at using them. Spears and battle axes, of course, were favorite weapons. The Impi, of course, would have been our standard warriors. War canoes were powerful if you wish to add naval units (requires GAE). Bows were also used. In fact, you could find bows, guns, and spears used all the same time. Darts could also be used, and were often poisoned. If you decide to use GAE, you could add poison effects to some attacks, and poisoning spears, arrows, etc would have been a very common and effective act that can be used to balance the faction out as well.

We use MG because we can join up on it. Also I don't think he wants it to modern (With guns).

GAE would be a much better idea than leaving it with MG. The Africans deserve better features than just multiplayer (here's something no one knows about: GAE is getting a multiplayer that is the same as MG).

i like the idea of poisoned spear/arrow tips. and because of what Omega said, i now have no problem with an archer.

here's an idea: get rid of the cavalry. an attack elephant, maybe, but a "hit fast and hit hard" cavalry should go. as a replacement, give them an expensive infantry with a primitive firearm instead!

C'mon tiger, you could make this an awesome faction!

I think you and I both know that everyone involved in this mod is thoroughly entrenched in the MG camp.  I wouldn't waste my time if I were you.

1st of all I am Not using GAE I like Mg better.

Ill replace the crossbow To an Elephant rider (throws spears)or ram with tusks.
I'll add battle axe
Possibly A dart thrower. (morph into Poison dart thrower)

I don't Think guns would fit well into mega pack

Also And Factions don't have to be Realistic.
Look at Indian
reed (should be corn)
Shawman (should be medicine man)
I dont think Indians used Sticks to fight.....
ECT.

But I will try to fix this Faction up as Much as I can.

Im still not sure What to make for anti air....

Well, nice try (It would be cool...), but obviously if they want this faction to be in the megapack, it would be MG only; for now at least.
Although, personally I don't think it would fit...quality and balance wise...I mean looking at Romans, quality wise is ok but it's been weeks and it hasn't even been balanced to be ok yet :/

Factions don't have to be realistic, but aren't they better if they are? Less complaints, people like your faction better, etc. I suppose having those units that others mentioned were just too unrealistic...

Oh yeah, right, no one... *sarcasm* It'll be great once it happens, well also it would have to be stable, but yeah.

A little hint to the maker of the Africans faction: there is a bug in the workers model you use which causes the (in)famous drawbox selection bug where workers get selected even though they are not within your selection drawbox. To fix this, the worker model needs to modified. Titi would know the details, since he fixed it on the megatech factions already.
