(anybody remember Win3.1?  I do!)

Sure do! I never actually owned a Win 3.1 computer though.

My first computer(not console) was a ZX Spectrum when I was 8/9 years old. I still have fond memories of waiting 1/2 an hour to load games from cassette tape ;D

Hay! I have a beter idea just have Linux to start with!
lol Yeah, well my computer came with Vista (I had no choice in the matter) and I've been using Windows since before most of the people on this forum were born (anybody remember Win3.1?  I do!), so it was a lot easier to just keep on using Windows.  I think those are really the two reasons why the vast majority of people use anything made by Microsoft: it's what came with their computers, and it's what they know best.

I remmeber DOS 5 & 6 and Amiga Workbench 1 & 2.

How the Amiga OS whooped the arse of Windows in those days!! The hardware too for that matter. Still crazy to think how many people the Amiga have got into space :o

Hey now. Elimnator, cut it out. Let's not go down the path of corruption, saying 'my things better than yours', or 'my things faster than yours'.

I do remember the pre-NT versions of windows. But that was so long ago, the only thing I can remember was that I barely new how to use computers at that point! My dad has a Commodore 64, but it's been collecting dust for over 10 years.

Elimnator, this makes dual-boot a lot harder. Honestly, what do you have against multiple OS's? I think you do not have enough experience with  windows to be flaming it. Please stop it now. >:(

@Wciow-- Well, I am not sure what you're saying, but lemme just say Greek people weren't perfect, including Aristotle.
