What I meant to say was it does not interfere with current releases

However, megaglest did add four more teams.
And gae, as of 0.2.13-beta1 sets FoW on or off in a per-match basis instead of the previous per-application-session one.
So you might run into some glitches there...?
you can try to apply the following patch:

(and fix the thing with stdio afterwards).
