Once you release it would you allow me to touch it up, with my 'knowledge of Star Trek'.
And send you a copy.

i dont think that your knowlege about star trek is bigger the mine. Sry, but i dont want to make a 100% cannon game. The theme gives enough creativ freedom....

Well, just wanted to give a quick hint, if you let your models float somewhat above the ground it would give you just that touch that really makes you beliave that it really IS in space, as it is now i kinda still can see the ship glide on ground :D, apart from that Great work! :D

Lookin' good. Please don't pressure IncendiumDraco please, Archmage. If he wants to make it however, it is HIS choice, as the modder.

Besides, I personally am never a big fan of games following movies too closely. They'd become too boring and predictable.

Well, I'm not pressuring him, I just asked if I could touch it up and send him a copy.
My friend posted the latest comment that I could consider pressuring IncendiumDraco.

1. Start of school
2. Hectic homework schedules and whatnot
3. new timetable to settle into

I'm sure he hasn't abandoned this :P. I know on MSN it's always "oh noes they haven't been on for a while, what happened?" NOTE: a week... hmmm.... school started Monday, so it sorta makes sense :P. I wouldn't worry too much archmage :).

Well, I put Glest stuff before school so people know that I am reliable, and will not make them worry. But Incendium may have a much more difficult school schedule.

It's so uninteresting that it's interesting to find out why it's so uninteresting. To some.

This is very cool.  I especially like how you have created a space tileset to accompany your factions!

awwwww...... when English? Tech Tree looks amazing, BTW :). If I really get impatient, I will attempt to translate German into English myself (but will prob. fail :D). Either way, I will download the German one and just try and figure out the controls by the pictures (Glest is not that complicated, unless you're adding new functions ;D) Still, keep up the great work!

I don't even know German and I can figure out most of the names pretty easily (kommandbasis = command base). ;D

Anyway, the models all look amazing.  A lot of them look just as good as the ones in Armada.

It looks like you're almost done already.  How much more work is there still to do?

one question that i'm most curious about is there shielding in this game ?

shielding.... hmmm.... interesting concept. I assume shields would = another bunch of textures that would have to be sized according to the hull of each ship, then would they change colour? fade? simply disappear when the energy ran out? More 3D texturing ;D. Plus, another bar of info at the top to show shield strength left, would it just be an overall shield? would it be able to have energy concentrated on a single shield? more textures, more display info. But shielding.... good question :).

Orrrrrrr, maybe there could just be a morph that would cost tons of resources or energy, or maybe it would not need an animation.

not need an animation? Soooo.... shielding that will remain there until it disappears, taking away from the graphics of the ships? a morph? whaddaya mean a morph. You mean morph a shield that costs tons of resources and energy, AND takes away from the graphics of the ship? SO CONFUSED!!!! But still, shielding..... :)
