Yes, since you last posted I have found that Filefront uploads a bit faster than upload.ps.
Modman isn't on the boards that much, I'm not going to wait for him to PM me the User/Pass for the Glest Filefront account.
I have my own, and I've already uploaded tons of things onto it anyway.

Besides already uploading.......................

PS: When I had a problem I sent the BETA 2 to Fluffy, and he uploaded it to MEGAUPLOAD, not me. So speak to Fluff about that...............whenever he reappears.....................

My internet connection right now is so so so SOOOOOOO crappy.
Damn it, I'm not going to try uploading again until I get to my Dad's house!
So I can have a REASONABLY GOOD CONNECTION, instead of this flaky string of crap!

So don't expect Romans until around: 6:00 - 9:00

You should make the turtle formation more "compressed" by having like 16 spearmen in the model :P Since I don't get how an army of four with shields can easily wipe out a base by themselves...

Okay, yeah, about the tortoise, imagine that in regular formation, a single roman soldier was only allotted between 1.25 and 1.5 feet square upon which to stand.   In Glest, each tile is about 2x2.  And also, If you make the shields interlocking, you will NOT need to add 4000 polies of soldiers inside.  Also, I must send you a model of a pilum, the most common roman javelin, because you seem to be using a Glave.  Each legionnaire carried 2, and in a tortoise, he wouldn't have been able to jab with it, but only defend.  It was magnificently effective against infantry and cavalry. 

On another note, I am happy that you are releasing a counter-faction.

Because it's take up extra space.
And if you want to uninstall it you just delete the romans faction out the the Glest folder.

To not make an installer, go to the install action group and delete the actions for making an uninstallers, making an uninstall entry, and making a shortcut for the uninstaller. Of course, I think you can do it from the wizard too with a checkbox, but you only see the wizard at the start, so it's unsuitable.

I'm working on installers now, stand-by for update......or download...............

UPDATE: Ok, it looks like no linux installers. But for Windows I don't know yet, I need a tester, I'll post for testing if my dad doesn't want to test it right now. Standby.

UPDATE-2: Actually we will have linux installer, and Windows installers, I tested the linux 64-bit one, and the Windows is going to be tested in just a sec. Standby.

UPDATE-3: Ok, we will have both Windows and Linux installers, 32 and 64 bit. Standby for final update.

I tested this a bit yesterday.
The 7-zip version seems to be corrupt! I downloaded several times but I could only unpack some files, then it stops and says that there is an error. The zip-file is much bigger to download, but it works.

Some hints for the models:
I would suggest to resize some of the buildings:
- Try to stretch the models with the tents a bit vertically.
- the blacksmith should be smaller ( only the man and the heigth of of the table are ok )

Try to make the roofing tiles of the forum a bit darker ( rise contrast and/or saturation ), I think this will look better.

And by the way, I love your tower, it really looks good when it gets attacked by archers and starts to burn!

Thanks, I gotta get the old G3D importer tool installed so I can edit the models, because Elim has the .blends.
As for the 7z file I'll get on it right now, and then the installers after that.

That tool. I mean the g3d importer. I couldnt find it anywhere when I searched for it. Then I searched in google "Glest Tilesets" and I downloaded a zip file filled with all the models and the importer for blender.

Oh and sorrry about the off topic but for the on topic this faction is awesome even though I have beta 2 im going to download the new version

you replied while I was writing but I am downloading the files I kind of prefer them since I leave a copy on my desktop to always be able to look at the models
