OMG!  So off topic!  And arch, yes, 9.11 and 9/11 both mean september 11th.

And I am a little surprised that the whole time I was asking for a description so i would know what I was downloading, and the only way for me to get the description was to download?  That defeats the purpose.

Did you use my weapons cache weapons for the soldiers?  You really should.

Come on people, download tell me what needs to be done.
I just found out, that I made 9.11 out of 2.0 instead of 2.1 so with the 9.12 pre-release, I'll add in some of the changes I made in 2.1(9.10)

We downloaded and tested a bit today.
I had two fun games with it

good things:
- Lots of upgrades which are played the right way by the CPU player from what we saw!
- many different units
- balance was ok in our games ( played vs tech and indians ), but I'm not a pro playing roman yet :) .

Things that should be improved:
- many walking animations look really strange.
- roofs and walls look too similar and need more contrast/saturation.
- shot timing of the archer doesn't fit its animation
- its still a bit complicated to devide the different human types in big fights. Probably a bit texture tweaking can help here.
- the dragon has a good textures, but the model looks too strange.

Eliminator will not give me all the models, he gave the the models for about 4-8 units......otherwise I would get to work on those walking anims.....although on all the models he gave me he has extremely simple armatures with no special parenting, or constraints, for the legs, which will make changing the walking anims hard, besides, I'm not very good at walking anims anyway.....

The attack start time is set at max(0.99), I need to change the model, which elim will not give me...

9.11-2 ||| Updates: This release will be coming this month!

-Merge in older 2.1 features, that aren't currently included.
-Add new attack animation for swordsman.
-Maybe a few minor updates other than that....

I found another problem.
The turtle thing has a size of 3! It cannot walk in some maps and gets stucked. is it possible to resize it to fit with a size of 2?
Or will it look too strange?

I think the problem with the turtle is actually pretty realistic.  It reflects the fact that the Romans were unstoppable on open terrain, but formations like that are clumsy and don't do well in forested areas.  One of the reasons why they never conquered northern Britain was because the natives fought so much better on their home terrain, where the Romans weren't used to it.

Oh yah I have an older romans 2 or something and the halberdier should have a better walk he greatly swings around the halberd like a sword look at the halberdier in naval

looks nice, hopefully it works for WINDOWS XP, i usualy have to edit everything. (everything but magitech i have had to edit to is works with windows(including megapack), maby i should upload the windows XP one if it doesn't work.)

EDIT: Damn filefront, it tried to close internet explorer again, every time i try to download something (i got it though).

  • .XML fine named corectly (faction name)
  • a few minor things, mainly in the .XML file.

how do you post like exactly after i do? it is creepy.

well, my computer is ancient, none of that new laptop crap(sorry for anyone who had a new laptop), but we had it before i was born (i am 12 right now), and im surprised it hasn't crashed (well, actiouly it had like 5+ times lol, but i mean broke/stops working).

Yes, I'm currently working on attack anims, as they are my favorite to make.

If anyone wants to help me, they're welcome to, I'll PM them the .blends for the unit they want to edit.

In the Christmas release, I hope to have a lot of anims redone.

That can easily be done in Blender.
Hit "s" to change the size, but before you change it, hit "y", and you will stretch the model on the y axis.
