I'm working on some models just to build some stuff before I make a complete mod. Well Im making a naga worker at the moment I have a basic scale chest texture http://www.filefront.com/14650769/naga_slave.png. Is there any special tip to make it look less cartoonish

Make it darker, and rougher looking.
Also, you said you were going to do one mod, then you said you needed help on another mod, and now you're starting this..............please stick to one thing, and get that thing done.

I agree 100%.  We've got too many unfinished projects floating around already.  A million unfinished mods aren't as good as ONE complete and polished one.

Uhm yah Im sticking to one thing ORCS. The naga are known to follow them in certain areas (as in battle for wesnoth). I have a lot of ideas for them but I only will release the faction once I have a basic idea all done (models textures) It will have (dif names these used for exemp) A castle, A farm, A barracks, A Naga Castle(subfaction), A worker, A soldier, A naga worker, and a naga soldier
