Little help
« on: 10 January 2005, 21:13:34 »
Hi!

Hey guys I could use some help.
I finaly started a mod for glest.
Made an engineer who uses a welding torch to build and repair.
Put a sphere on the end of the welding torch put a bomb under it,
so it will look like it sprouts sparks.
It is was fine, cause I can't put in particle systems so this will do the trick.
Then exported it.
 :(
Now I know the death of your dragon is made like this.
A bomb inside and BOOM! Faces go everywhere.
But what did u do that the program didn't ignore the dragon, because of
different number of vertices in frames ???
PLS HELP. THANK U!

PS: the about sreen will have you, and the 2nd sreen that comes when you start the game says: glest mod, original made by glestteam :)

the explosion of the bomb has to begin in the first frame of your animation; this way all the frames will have the same number of vertices

That was me.

And a good thing would be that you implant a command into the export plugin : "MeshFacemap = True" or something similar. It is like "CustomTexture = True", you have to write it in the properties of the mesh in 3dsmax and it would turn the mesh's faces into facemaps so they would follow the camera (rotate).
I know you could do it, cause the particles that can be used (firaball, arrow trail) are facemaps too.

So please we would all thank you.
And if you are not continueing the creation of the game whynot upgrade it. ;)

Would that allow you to pick what coordinates the turret would rotate around?
