Best Game Soundtrack??

Which game(s) did you think had the best soundtracks. I liked the final fantasy's/ and a few other Squaresoft games, and Halo probably the best.

Do not make topics for little things like this.
Just post:

I don't see any reason that separate off topic posts can't exist. Like anything they'll eventually sink to the bottom when they've run their course.

As far as soundtracks go, assuming we skip music games like DDR or GH, it really depends on what you grew up with.

Zelda, Mario (1, 2, and 3), Ninja Giaden, Master Blaster, etc all are highly recognizable and appreciated by myself because of the time I spent with those games.

Mario 64 gets special notice for technical accomplishment. Some levels had multiple, similar tracks that would crossfade back and forth depending on what/where Mario was/was doing. It was most noticeable on the level with the pirate ship, when you dove into the water.

The Need for Speed games have had great music too.

But my favorite is probably the original Doom soundtrack. Classic.

I love the Halo soundtracks.  They make the player feel like they're really stuck in the alien environment, all alone, fighting for survival.  I also like the fact that Breaking Benjamin (one of my favorite rock bands) did one of the songs.  In case you're wondering, it's the "Blow Me Away" song towards the end of Halo 2 where you enter the room with all the brutes, hunters, and elites fighting each other.  I can't think of what the level is called, though.

Super Smash Bros Brawl!!!

Of course, that is because it has dozens of songs from other games including Mario, Zelda, Sonic, etc;

This is the glest board, so please try to only discuss glest related things here.
If you remember the start of the offtopic post, martinho closed it immidiatly! I asked him to open it again, because I think its good for our community. So I think in other posts we should try to stay glest related....
