Good job!
This map looks really really good and is good to play! the mountains are very good and the whole map give you a real forest feeling!
As Trappin said, evergreen is best for this map.
Whats good:
- nice mountains
- enough place for buildings
- AI didn't get stucked
- nice ponds
- every way in the forest is textured as a way.
- the startingpoints have nice entrys which you can defend

What could be improved:
-  some more gold .... its missing In the end of a big fight ( I had one ) the computer ran out of ressources! I think some additional hidden gold places( for seddling)  on the map would be nice.  So also let the players explore this whole nice map! Hint don't put them too close to tree, maybe they cannot be seen by a human player there.
- some trees ( pines) are standing too deep in the water. Thats only a little issue but this map is so nice its really nearly perfect!

Updated:

  • added resource points throughout map.
  • removed trees from water.
  • relocated resource points at start area(s).

I think this map would be a great multiplayer map.  I will download so I can play with modman.

Other than having very narrow starting location defensive choke-points Redoubt is not very different from Bulwarks, Great Wall or Evercamp. Evercamp in particular is superior in every way - it has rolling-hill terrain features, ponds, forests, lots of resources and choke-points at the start locations (though the choke-points are quite a bit wider).

Gamers are fickle and unpredictable ??? but thanks. :)

edit: titi and everyone - my maps are for the community to use in whatever fashion they see fit. All are "open use" and require no special permissions from me. I don't care about credits. Thanks.
