Ok.......I answer that question with two answers.

1- I posted my changes on page 2.

2- Most of the work that magitech needs is XML, I can't really texture well enough to make any units, if someone helped me work would go faster, more would get done in each release, and I could have a bit more progress on additions.

So don't complain if you're not going to try and help in any way.

In case you haven't noticed, almost all of the posts in this thread (aside from your own) are complaining that:
1.) This shouldn't be made in the first place
2.) You're going about it the wrong way and/or
3.) You haven't actually DONE anything.

Maybe you should listen for a change. :P

Don't wait for other people. If this is something you want to do, make it work for you. Then other people might become interested once they see how much you enjoy it.

I think it is because of the number of really bad xml-only mods. I'm not saying yours is like this, but there have been too many and so members of the forums are wary. If you had a completed units list and screenshots, I think your downloads will go up alot. For all we know, this could just be an xml mod. (If you add some more info, I will probably download as I think on the whole your mods are good)

Dude, I made a change list, I'll maybe get a screenshot, but it isn't that impressive, I need someone to help me, I'm way behind on the Romans Christmas release!

Why don't people look at the change log?

Uhmm I would help on uvmaps and textures besides the fact that Im obliged to work on glest stories and I'm busy as hell, since I'm the onyl modeller working on that right now

Or, do you want me to take longer, add a few new units(with new models), and add the features planned in 0.5.1.

Also, everyone please report problems with 0.5 to be fixed in 0.6.

Modman, I'd like your full idea on how a magitech refit should be done.

Release estimates:

I've gotten a lot of work done today. Probably about 2/3 of all the work needed before the 0.6 -BETA release is done.
I'll probably finish 0.6 -BETA on Thursday, and upload either Thursday or Friday.
I'll be needing bug reports on this 0.6 -BETA ASAP to be fixed!

Don't worry, I'll fix every single bug before a final 0.6 release.

Changelog will be posted shortly...

This is an open-blend project, meaning the .blend files are available for everything I make. If somebody else on the forums makes something for this, and doesn't give me the .blend files, it isn't going in. If you use 3Ds Max, then.....I don't really care.

The reason that there's so few downloads is because as far as I can tell, there is no new models, and the only 'new' units are retextured. Lets face it, my 8 year old cousin, the hot girl next door, my best friend, and my 70 year old grandma could all just do a bunch of xml changes. You haven't really given people a reason to download. When you have at LEAST 6 fully modeled new units and some elements not previously found in magitech (namely more steampunk for tech and more mythical beasts for magic, since those are the exciting units) people will start to download. When they see effing cool screenshots that make them say 'wow, I gotta try that', you'll start seeing downloads.

In the meantime, please take the five minutes to make the MDC xmls for this and any other projects you are doing!

I made new units and 4 new models, I can barely texture, but I managed to do all of them!
Before anyone criticises they should download the newest version!

I would love to add more steampunk units, but really it lacks medieval units!

XML changes matter a lot! It doesn't matter how easy it is to do them!
I'd like someone to help me make more mythical creatures, but so far, everyone is saying all these ideas, and leaving me to attempt them all by myself!

As I've said before, you can't expect tons, I'm one person, and nobody seems willing to help me!

I'm behind on other mods and stuff, why do people do this, I offer my help a lot, can't somebody help me, or does everyone have to stand around and mention how I'm not doing what they want!

Can people just try the new version, and offer some praise, I learned texturing as I was designing this stuff, and I think it looks pretty damned good!

Well, lets face it, people barely look over the common weak units that they send out in drones. It is the effing sweet godlike units that they love. Ones that are expensive but oh so worth it when you see the powerful blast from their devastating attacks! (For example: I rarely pay much attention in Final Fantasy IX's normal attacks, even when it is hitting max damage [way to go Zidane], but I cycle through the gorgeous summons and trance attacks that are sometimes a mere waste of MP just to see the sheer awesomeness of it, even doing the same damage).

Tell you what: If you can get a very nicely completed list of units to create, plan this out well, and get me interested enough, I'll help you. Of course, I am freelance, and model what I want to model, but any helps better than none, no?

I'd love to do some planning, maybe after I make a bug fix release of this and finish the Romans Christmas I'll plan on a new spectacular version, that will take a while to complete, and all bugs wiil be fixed prior to release!
It'll be a little while before that happens though...
