The mammoth is stronger than the rhino in terms of defense, offense and hp. The only good thing about the rhino is that its speed "pairs" with the sabre tooth tigers'. If have played magitech, the bot would attack you and the first people to attack you would be the cavalry. With this faction, you have a tank sweeper along with a fast physical sweeper to wipe your opponent out.

What he means as a epic unit is like 1 special unit that everyone starts off with having 3 choices of morphs. Not a good idea because the AI always use it in its first wave of attack, and that would totally ruin the connection with magitech.

Anyways im currently texturing the hunter/spearman

Ok, make sure you modify it a bit for the spearman!
I'll change the anims a bit for the spearman, once you texture it.

Oh, come on, I hope there isn't going to be some "epic level", as far as I'm concerned it's just a term for a very good unit.

Spearman can attack close range, hunter throws

btw you can change the close range attacking if you want

But that might lead errors to the walking animation too...

PROBLEM: I cant seem to apply the texture to the g3ds... I wanted to see how they would look like but its like it wont apply to it. I renamed it to texture_hunter and still nothing, even in pdn format and tga and still nothing

Dude you have to do that in blender, and then when you export, you put the texture, with the same namein the same location as the G3D, I have tried to apply textures in Blender, but for some reason the model alway comes out while or pink.....

I dont know where to start... I tried to get the objects UV image, then try to replace it from the menu but nothing is working...

If the model looks pink, that just means that it doesn't know where to find your texture. That's not a problem when you export it, though, because Glest always expects the texture to be in the same folder as the g3d. To get rid of the pinkness, go to your UV/Image window and change the location where the texture is supposed to be.

Sorry, off-topic, but every time I see the "Ice Age" thread title I think of the dreamworks animated movies. The first time I saw it I clicked on it expecting to see Sid and Manny - and trying to figure out how they'd work in a faction. LOL

Yeah lol! When I had to research about the Ice Age to make this faction, Google resulted a lot of Ice Age film results like Sid and Mammy lol and Diego.

Hey I was thinking of making a glest faction 3 on 3 where its Sid, Mammy and Diego vs Donkey, Shrek and Puss in Boots because they are like similar...
