I was able to just set the date on my computer back to a few days after I installed vs express and then it started up just fine.  Immediately after it starts, I set the date back to what it should be and I had no problems with vs express its self.

Are you sure there is no way to get a registration key? I can't be certain, living in canada, but to my knowledge, every country should be able to get the key. If not, lie about your country. Alternatively, there is an offline disc version that does not require a key, but thats what I have, and it seems to be glinched (a registry error which prevents you from creating new projects (copy and paste a blank one and use it)).
