New faction idea

ok, i got this idea from the game "Total Annihilation: Kingdoms" (or rather, a mod-remake of it for another game). it is a faction of animal-people (i dont know what to call them), and the distinction that set them apart from the rest of the factions was that they were designed to always be on the move. How? they had only 3 or so buildings! All of the units were made from other units, and the units were made to be fast!

do you think that something like this could be made for glest? i like the animal-people thing, it fits them well. i could compile a mod like this, but sadly i cant model, tex, or anim to save my life....

like the idea?

While I'm not opposed to the idea, we've got way more ideas than we know what to do with as it is.  Even the people who are normally down to make just about anything (like Eliminator and Fluffy) are busy with their own mods, so I wouldn't expect this to go anywhere unless you're willing to do the majority of the work yourself, which means learning modeling, texturing, and animation (at least two of the three).

texturing and animation really dont fit though unless your animating gifs

Dude for one, you should post ideas in the Mod Ideas topic, which I should find a link too............
That's the place to go for mod ideas, and the place to post them, we have plenty of ideas, but not enough people to do them all!

ill keep that in mind Arch...i just stated it here for 2 reasons: i forgot we had a mod ideas thread, and no one reads it anyway...

a prob with this idea though, is that it would be easier to control a faction with no buildings if we were able to have unlimited unit selections

Hitting CTrl 1 groups unit Parties to the 1 key this works with all 10 keys. So you can have about 160 units at you fingertips anytime you want
