we need more things to do with our allies!

i think that things like being able to trade with your allies and being able to set a location for your ally to investigate should be possible. or, even general diplomacy (being able to create alliances ingame) would be nice. any of this actually possible?

Yes, I fully agree. I think something similar to Age of Empires would be nice.

Just type in something like:

-Attack foe # now
-Wait for my command
-Build a military
-Stop building a military
-Produce workers
-Stop producing workers
-Harvest resource ......
-Begin scouting
-Become an ally?
-Declare war!

Etc; As well as a trade screen similar to Civ 4 would be sweet. Trading resources wouldn't actually be too hard to code, since its merely subtracting a resource from one player and adding to the other. Its making a trading screen that'd be hard. For AI commands, the AI would have to be slightly modified, and then the ability to recognize what the player types in the chat would be needed, as well as a way to perform certain commands. There would need to be a way to choose who you chat with though, and diplomancy would need to be implimented for some things.

i think that you should also be able to trade and interact with enemies as well. just say that you have an abundance of one resource and a deficit of another--you could trade with an enemy with the opposite problem for resources.

I think you should work together with your ally, maybe have them command you or you command them in different scenarios.

But I'd like to be able to trade, sell troops to allies, buy troops from allies, make enemies, make friends, you know, all the stuff that happens in war.
