More Signature Characters

I change my signature relatively often on this forum, but I always run out of characters.  I like to have quotes in my signature, but I want to keep the links in there as well.  I have shortened the url and saved characters as much as possible, but I want more.

I personally don't see what the big deal is with having long signatures is, as long as they aren't a paragraph long!  I should be able to fit about 5 to ten lines with formatting included.  So I propose that the limit on characters be raised to 500 characters.  I would like to hear what the rest of y'all think, but keep in mind that any image could easily take up that amount of space or more and use less than 300 characters.  All you need to do is link to the image.

There are few to no spammers/bots here at any one time, so long, garbage signatures won't be a problem.

Well people have a choice, they can have long sigs that annoy people, maybe not super long and bad ones but just long enough so it's annoying.
It depends, people would have different preferences on that.....

I usually find signatures to be distracting.  Hence, I have them turned off in my preferences.

Heck, I don't even remember what my own signature says, to be quite honest. lol

Hmm... after going back and editing my signature a bit, I can see how more characters would come in handy.  However, I think with a combination of signature, the line below the avatar, and a website link, that should be plenty if you use the resources that are available to you already.
