Glest Advanced Strategies and Tactics (GAST) Guide

Helly Everyone,

I'm new to this forum, but I've been playing Glest for years. I've started making guide for Glest that list essential strategies in the game. In other words, the guide aims to teach you how to beat 3 cpu ultras (I've done it before). I've read Omega's Glest Guide, but it only covers the basics of the game. I plan to make GAST elaborate (covering all the major factions). The reason I'm writing this topic is to make sure that my guide won't conflict with Omega's or anybody else's.

Because I've played the game for so long, I've experimented with various tactics that give me the win without producing a butt load of units. In fact, I have a whole list of strategies. My main goal is to share these with you in the guide.

Give me about a week (at most) to finalize the guide and I'll submit it to the forum. Hopefully it'll be a hit.

PS: After I finish the guide, I think I'll join the Glade Team as a documentation writer or as a concept artist (I'm a graphic designer). Hope they accept.

I've used the earlier version of the GAE, but not MegaGlest. My computer has a problem where MegaGlest keeps giving me an error. The latest version of the GAE does the same thing. I'm getting a new computer soon, so hopefully it'll work then.

I finished the guide, but I want to make into a nice looking website. Give me some time to do this.

Recommended: Create your guide as a Glest Guide Archives Article. The Glest Guide has already existed for over a year and details GAE in it already, as well as includes a Mod Download Center and pages fully coded in PHP.

The Archives is a special section where anyone can create an 'article' on glest, which includes anything from comparisons between factions, mod announcements, ideas, strategies, etc;

It also accepts a limited amount of HTML tags, and automatically URLizes some common words such as the 'glest board', 'google', and 'wikipedia'. It also provides abrievation definitions for common abbreviations, as well as a custom spam catcher meant to catch porn and spam.

Omega your website is basic Not really "fancy" you know what im sayin'? If your website had like pictures of people battling like ingame screenshots then it would be A+, just saying, but doesn't really have to be fancy.

I will check you website out Omega and I'll decide if I'll use it soon. I'm a web designer though, and I already started the design for the page.
