Glest on Steam

Want more Glest players? Ask if Steam will add it to their next update. I got 3 of my friends on Steam to start playing Glest.

Steam runs on Wine afaik.

right, but wine users cannot play glest in multiplayer because it gets out of sync...

My thought exactly. Unless Valve has a very generous heart (which while they're great, they ARE a business - for profit) it doesn't make sense to put Glest on Steam. They can't sell it (for themselves or others), can't support it, and can't even do matchmaking for it. In fact, it'd be nothing but bandwidth they'd have to pay for each time it was downloaded.

i really hope that steam never comes to steam, that would break my heart, since it does carry it usefullness, i just dont like steam.

Since DRM isnt a problem for us. it still wouldnt be THAT bad.

but still its steam.
