For the Exo's powered armor, I was thinking something more along the lines of a Starcraft marine crossed with these guys, but with an Invader inside.  Since we got rid of their only melee unit (the Raider), I was thinking the Exo could have something short-range, like a high-tech flamethrower (probably call it a plasma torch or some such).

Potential alternative names: Medic, Biochem, Examiner, Abductor.  If you got sucked up into a UFO in the middle of the night, this would be the guy with the anal probe.

If you want to help, I won't turn you away.  I think we've got things under control when it comes to models and animation (and I know you hate texturing).  I'm sure we could probably use some help with particles, though, since 1.) we're going to need a lot of them, 2.) I have virtually no experience with them, 3.) I have no idea how Fluffy's skills are with them, and 4.) we're better off having him do other stuff anyway. :P

I am helping you guys and I know a fair bit about particles.

BTW: Fluffy the base is done Ill pm it to you but I don't know if the trans stuff can go through .obj, I think itl reset it so I also gave the .g3d.

I think i will have to have either Eliminator or John to do the teamcolor cause 3dsmax with this alpha channel and teamcolor doesn't wanna work with .g3d format.

Is there a way in 3DS to assign a mesh as 1-sided or 2-sided?  As long as that's set and the TGA itself has the alpha on it, you should be good.  I think. :look:

Yea it does , but i think the materials and the way they are assigned in blender and 3ds are different cause i would have to rename a material to lets say alpha of the same texture of the one i'm already using then indivually make that one piece alpha. it just doesn't seem to work out right at all  :thumbdown: :thumbdown: :thumbdown:

Okay, but I'm up to my ears in school stuff until May.  Do you want me to send you the files and let you work on them, or just wait until I can do it myself?  The Tripod still needs a texture and the Skimmer needs a texture and all animations.  I also made a ~1000 triangle human model for my own project, and we can definitely use it here if you want.  It's already rigged and unwrapped.

Sounds good.  I'm currently thinking up ideas for defense units for both factions, so I guess we'll see how your tree looks and then we can decide what should go where.  Btw, that human model I gave you is significantly taller than Mr. Magitech (~2.53 vs. ~2.14), but I don't think it should be a problem unless he's up against Magitech-sized humans.
