Aren't we all  :O :O :O, it depends on which b17 model your basing the model but I suggest that if it's the mark G onward it should fight air to air with the chin turret, or it could fight with the dorsal turret which might be more realistic. If the option existed I would say that the B17 should fire with any of it's turrets depending on the direction of the enemy

Turrets aren't really supported in Glest/GAE per se.  I mean, you can put a turret on your model, but it's still only going to fire straight forward.  I guess that makes it more like a sponson(sp?).

I don't really know how to say it simpler than that. :-\

The path of the projectile will be going in the same direction that your unit is facing (i.e. positive direction on the Z axis).  Better?

I know but if it is one of the later models of the b17 it could fire forward using the nose turret.

I say yah, but if the AI does it, it will be superior to you, oh well, it makes the game harder

no no, what about implement in GAE and make it so that the AI won`t use it?
I don`t know of any code allowing you to make sure the AI don`t use a unit.
Or just make it so that ULTRA CPU only uses it?

Bump.  Things might be going a little slowly for me in the near future.  My laptop hasn't worked for a couple weeks, so I'd been doing my computing on the computers in the engineering lab, but Tuesday night I got asked to leave by a couple guys with guns... so yeah... currently looking for a new computer on eBay.

*shrug* Busy, I guess.  He tends to vanish from time to time, and then come back after a while.  Anyway, I just ordered a replacement power cord for my laptop, so maybe I'll be able to start working on this again in a few days when it arrives.
