Available for linux, OS X and windows and everyone can play for free at the moment!

Very important! If you don't know it, you really should play the tutorial!

They have really cool graphic effects(especially particles), and some of them will hopefully come to glest too!

No, you can play it for free.
It's about the quality of Savage 2 and Savage 2 is awesome.

Dude, it's free to play, you can pay if you want to, but you're allowed to play it as much and long as you want for free, are you afraid you'll get addicted or something?

You guys don't get the reference? It's in the terms of use of freeware like Glest that you're supposed to read before installing.

Yeah, it does really suck when you're playing a free trial of a game and just when you get really into it, the trial runs out and you can't play anymore. They do it on purpose so you'll be more tempted to pay for the full version, or in this case, to pay for an account when the beta trial runs out.

I also feel this way in general Eliminator, but... S2games is something different!
Both games they made up to now are free now! ( savage and savage2! )
Its just that people have to live from something. They make the games, earn (very little) money with it and then they set them free

I like this way and thats why I support them. OK completly free from the beginnning would be better,
but its not possible to work fulltime on a free game for long without earning money to live!
Their system works, at least a bit because I think they still have/need a big sponsor in the background .
... and they have very good working linux clients

But please don't get lost in their worlds! Glest needs his fans/users/modders or whatever you are!

Yah, I've played Savage2, it's great except for the fact that you return to level 1 at the end of every game.

Yeah, I haven't tried out Savage2 yet, but I've read reviews of it and watched gameplay of it, and it's cool...

But I guess it is a good thing that Glest didn't start out like that, although at least the Glest Team would have made some $$$.
