i LOVE the new size!, a switch would be good ues, this makes room for the UI i want when its done :D.(and it can be implemented).

Ok my mistake, to respect the resolution change you need to change the setting in glest.ini:
AutoMaxFullScreen=false

if it is set to true, then mega-glest will auto set your resolution to the max possible. I must have set it to true as default in the release accidentally.

In the version now it doesn't matter what way you set the max resolution it stays on max resolution.

The patch seems to work. But can I please for my wife sake and everyone who doesn't have great vision will you please put into MegaGlest  font sizing like they have in window choosing between let say size 8 all the up to size 30 for those with weak eyes or can't have there monitor that close. I myself would normally use a size 18. That is what I use on my browser and windows settings. It shouldn't be that hard to put a font re- sizer into the settings somewhere maybe in the data in or a option in the first set of menu before the game starts.   Thank you.

Is there any time frame when this font resizing may be in a MegaGlest release. My wife would like to try it but the font in the game is to small. She is a diabetic and this is why she can't read the font in the game.

Ok I'm working on the font chjanges from Titi, hopefully soon I'll post an updated set of win32 binaries on sf. You can thank Titi for his hard work in doing this request so quickly.

Ok, first things first. Who-ever wants to test the font changes (you can also adjust the font size via the options menu) please download the upodated binaries from:

If we have no other major problems we'll re-release with another version # (3.3.3) just to clear any confusion.

Well, if the options section just edits the glest.ini, maybe you should just try to manually edit the glest.ini...  :|

Right I added some more switches to the glest ini, where you can set the fonts very detailed!
Its already in there, just try it and please report what you think about it.

I've tried it setting plus 5 for font size is fine for my eyes but my wife would need a plus 8 to 10 for her eyes. Am not sure how to change but thank you for making it easier on me at least. See my wife's eyes are about twice as bad as mine are so that is why she would need a plus 10 to see the fonts where I can see them at plus 5
Edit I figure out how to change size in the data works good will be helpful with my wife and I thanks.

What I talked about is this, where you can set the fonts very detailed:

I found that one last thing how much trouble would it be to be able to change the color of the font. See white when you play with winter is hard to see. I thought maybe 4 or 5 colors to choose from and allow each the player to choose. like blue, yellow, red and green color font and of course the normal white.So the font will stand out more from the map during game play.

Yah, you can press 'c' to change color, but I don't tihnk you can change to black, which would be ideal...

It would be nice if you could set it in the tileset........ :)

Yes, Titi is looking into it. In older Glest this feature was there but someone removed it tn 3.2.2 for some reason.

font color can be changed now again, but only while playing.
You can choose from 4 colors wiht shadows and 5 colors wihout shadows now.
They are all toggled using the 'C' key
