Tech mk2

This is a collection of all the tech faction additions made except the helicopter, the only unit that actually belongs to me is the knight but the rest was made by glest users quite a while ago, but sadly I don't remember who made these additions. If they should read this post than please tell me. additions in this mod include crossbowmen, spearmen, some air ballista based weapons, and a wall.

Inform me if you like it but watch out this tech mod out classes all of the current mods in combat capabilities. If you think it should be edited inform me as I can change the xmls to something more fair.

But uh, as you kinda said, this would be unbalanced compared to other factions...  ::)

Thanks for the reply :)I can try to even magic out if you want with new daemons, a black knight, things like that if you like but I think that the magic factions editing should get a different post. In addition my gervoriath faction which should come out in a month or so will be perfectly balanced with this tech faction.

That would be nice, then you could turn maybe all 3 of your faction into a mod...  :)

I think ultimately we could use megaglest for this, but not into it, since it only has the "megapack"...
still if you had 3 good factions, then turn it to a mod...  :)

OK, I tried it out. I renamed it to Tech2...  :|
Very nice. Cept the wall did not do anything (when I  went near my opponents' "walls"...also it does not have a on "button"...is it supposed to be like that?

I think it's an interesting idea and possibly useful for people who want to tweak their own Magitech to have a chance to test the new stuff out before they add it in, a kind of repository of new Tech units with a Trial mode added in! ;D  :thumbup:

The Walls BTW are probably just for GAE. Note this feature is/was experimental and it is currently implemented nowhere. I pretty much think they're not supposed to do anything though. The reason it needed extra coding was for the AI to know how to deal with it - it does not need to bring a whole long wall down, just break through it so the units can go past it. There were also plans to make it possible to make units walk on top of it (like its defenders).

There have been additions to Magic. One is the Evil Dragon that Titi added to his version of Magic (I don't remember where it comes from or who did it though).

I don't think you will find enough units to add to each of Megapack's factions though.  :|

Overall, I think it's nice you did this, wyvern. :)

What are the "specs" of it? Can you post a screenshot of it, so we can see if it fits...  :|
If you do, first upload the unit, and then upload the whole faction again.  :|
