Error Setting video mode: 1024x768x32

Hey.

Ive installed the game but when i click the icon to run it i got the error message in the title. Can someone tell me how, or if, i can fix this?

Just in general, which OS are you using?

For your problem:
Your computer cannot display this resolution.
You either edit glest.ini ( search for 1024 ) and setup your native screenreolution there. Or you use the glests configurator tool which is a separtare program that comes with glest and change the the settings there.

Just because I'm curious:
What kind of computer cannot 1024x768? Some sort of netbook?

Its a Dell Latitude E5500. Im using Vista with a 2 GHz processor and 4 GB RAM
Ill try changing that .ini file now.

It wont let me change the file. It says:

Cannot create the C:\Program Files\Glest\Glest_3.2.2\glest.ini file.
Make sure the path and filename are correct

Dumb Windows Security! You'll need to edit the file as administrator to save it.
