Report games here!
« on: 22 April 2010, 13:28:29 »
:O :O :O Post your best games ever played here :O :O :O

I will start with my report of the best graphical game ever

Code: [Select]
The most advanced graphics i have ever seen, using those stunning lightning effects that makes the game so realistic i almost sometimes get scared when a enemy pops up! (just like the adverts  ::) ) You really have to play this game to get a look at how this graphics plainly is super awesome, lately, people have been comparing crysis and ArmA 2 wich is a very photorealistic game. That is why i will be comparing them here, using the facts and not fanboy-activities.

Genre:    FPS (First Person Shooter/Fast Paced Shooter)
Platform: PC & Mac(!)
Style:     Futuristic

As you start the game you get a quick briefing, giving you a grasp of what the games about, then you immediately jump (literally) into the game
This gives the game a advantage over Armed Assault 2 because that game has no intro at all. You also immediately see the stunning graphics and get a REAL feeling of the game :)
As you proceed in the game things become more difficulty as they should, however, it is  hard to notice what your objective is because i got no explaination of where the tool for replaying the mission brifing was. Someone might argue that this just adds to the realism but...
The story is also amazing if you love FPS and SCI-FI.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yJE0-b-ecw

This was a custom map, made with cryengine 2.

Crysis comes with a copy of the cryengine 2, find it on the disk!
Cryengine 2 was also the engine powerinjg FarCry 2, wich was a hit!

Here is what the next engine (cryengine3) wich you can actually use if you buy their game: crysis 2, this includes the engine! Look at this engine and cry in happines:

Feedback please, and yeah, report Glest here aswell  8)

I just got some ideas from the first two posters, what if you could rate a game 1-10?
Rate your game 1-10 /no fanboy plz  ;))
The best reports get to the be on the main page! :)
Tell people about what makes your game so special, make the readers want to play it

-Archmage- Report of the great game Savage 2!

Savage2 is awesome! IT'S FREE AND RUNS ON WINDOWS LINUX AND MAC!!!

Sword reflections, slimy skin, great effects, expert 3D art, and tons of fun!
You can play either a RTS role of commander or an FPS role of a little troop on the screen.
Again superb graphics, tons of fun, and graphics lag isn't a problem, network lag can be annoying, but it's usually very smooth.

I rate this game 9.8/10(a few annoying things like bad defaults in the options and other slightly annoying stuff...)!

Check it out at the Savage2 website!

John D.H and his very informative report on many games, mainly Atlantica Online:

I've played a couple MMOs in my day.  I think the first one I tried was Martial Heroes, but I couldn't really get that into it.  It's basically like any generic MMO, and set in ancient China.

Then I played Eudemons Online for a while, which is kinda like a cross between Diablo and Pokemon (hard to imagine, but if you played it you'd get what I mean).  I got pretty frustrated with how the PvP system works, in that somebody one or two levels higher can kill you in one hit, made even worse by the fact that paying players had such a huge advantage that free gamers like me stood no chance in PvP and everywhere except the starting map and the insides of towns are freely open to PK (without warning, too, so you tend to get ambushed).  Plus, there's a serious lack of quests and the game is in perpetual beta.  Apparently development has been abandoned in favor of a newer project, which is really just the same game with a futuristic spin on it.  The only really fun part of this game was raising and training your pet monsters.

I tried Talisman Online for a little while, but I couldn't really get that into that one either.  One of my friends got me to play Runes of Magic with her a couple times, but once again it just didn't draw me in.

Code: [Select]
Atlantica Online has been my only MMO for a couple years now, and I play off-and-on.  I like that there are a ton of quests, so it's not all that grind-heavy, and the cooperation is so much better than in the other games I've played.  There are always people wanting to form parties or inviting you to guilds, and playing with other people is always more fun than playing alone.  Additionally, the combat system is dramatically different (and better) than the other games, kind of Final Fantasy style.  Instead of managing one character, you manage a group of up to nine (you start with about four and then get more as time goes by), and you can swap them out for new and better ones as you gain levels and complete quests.  In this way, you can customize your group to extraordinary level (Want a group of nine spearmen?  Not a good idea, but you can sure do it if you want!).  The combat itself is turn-based but there's a 30-second time limit on each turn, so that keeps it moving fast.  There are also PvP tournaments several times a day, where you're matched against players of a similar skill level (based on win-loss record).  Paying players do have a pretty big advantage, but not enough to spoil the game, and you can beat players with higher levels and better equipment if you're good/lucky.  Also, the auto-move and teleportation features make travel so much easier, especially since the world is really quite big.  I've never tried running from Angkor Wat to Alcatraz, but I'm guessing it would most of an hour if you didn't teleport.  The market system is the best I've experienced, and is driven by supply and demand because you put your items up for sale and you only receive money if/when another player buys it.  The crafting system is quite nice, too.  Basically, Atlantica is the only online game I've played that got just about everything right.

Best game ever played, no question at all! Final Fantasy IX. Nothing came close to it in battle style, abilities, leveling up, insanely good storyline, etc; The graphics were great for its time and console (PS1). There's not much I can say without spoiling it, but I liked the friendly citizens in the game (such as one merry cook banging in nails with a frying pan after the destruction of his city), rather than the dull upset NPCs of earlier final fantasies. The dialogue is masterful, the storyline is the best ever written, ever.

Gameplay is flawless and the ATB battle system is fantastic, and improves so much.

The two best games on the face of the planet (it's a tie) are "C&C Generals" and "Total Annihilation." RTS gaming gets no better....

Soulfu's a fun game, free but really fun, the animations are cartoony but that is part of the game, It can get really challenging on later levels though

The BEST game ever made is Hearts of Iron 2. No 3d graphics whatsoever, just good 'ol 2d sprites.

I was really looking forward to HOI3 but Paradox f****d it up by putting it on the Europa Universalis engine and putting in a stupid command structure thing.

Games I like(d) a lot:

Battle Isle: a long time ago an the amiga computer
DukeNukem 3d:  a long time ago too ! I never played any game so much ( about 4-5 years!). I made tons of maps and mods for this and we had several great LAN-Parties playing this game )
ut2004: Especially the ONS mode ( I still love to play the Onslaught ( ONS ) mode !)
glest ( of course  ;D)

( ... and I play Nexuiz from time to time too )

Most fun car racing games I played are Flatout2 and a long time ago TocaTouringcar 1 .

Here is my report of Runescape(!):

Code: [Select]

Recently, JaGeX added a new skill to free playing players wich allowed them to go and solve the puzzles of duengoneering! This new skill is fair to lower levels as it makes the bosses reduce hp and combat stats when the player duengoneers. The new area covers a area 60 times the area of the city ,in-game, called Falador(!) Here is some shots from it (
Code: [Select]
Runescape.com):
Code: [Select]
Here is were you start off with dungeoneering!

A full list of the basic in dungeoneering can be found here:
Code: [Select]
http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/dungeoneering_the_basics
In this game, you really do not get done, after you have reached all the levels to the max, which probably would take 5 years, there is still plenty of quests (160+ more to come(!) ) Now it also comes with a demo version, but why is this necesarry? there is already free to play!

The game supporsts all OS that can run, even the ipod and iphone i think...

Download java here:  http://java.com/en/
Play Runescape here:

I won`t let this count as a apply for the mian page, because i am the owner :) i simply did it because i wanted to

Here is my report of Runescape(!):
Nice choice gab! I'm an avid runescape player and have already been in the high scores for dungeoneering for quite a while. It's more of a minigame than a skill, but I love it all the same. :D

Also, I looked at the graphics for the first game that you posted (crysis) and I must say: wow! $30, huh? Maybe I'll buy? ;)
