The settlers IV! Never has a game been so entertaining and fun! Then again, i love the settlers series more than anything  :P

The Settlers VII

Ah brings back memories :D WHat i love about The Settlers is that you have to improve each economic cycle, aka, gold miners needs fish to eat for mining a lot of gold, then you need a fish hut, and for the fish hut to be made you need wood which can be aquired from a sawmill wich get wood from the woodcutters hut and then you need a woodsman to plant new trees, and then for you to take land for more wood you need soldiers, to get soldiers you need a barracks, and for the barracks to make soldiers you need weapons, that means iron, which can be aquired from the blacksmith/weaponsmith, which needs coal and iron ore, to get iron and coal you need bread and water, bread you get from a bakery, whichb get corn from a mill, which get corn from a farmer which needs water and space, again all over to the soldiers which needs barracks.

And that is just one cycle! you have also cycles for how to get settlers, how to do diplomacy and stuff and how to how to how to! The game is just so VERY huge demanding on micro management. BTW that was from IV i took that cycle, the other games have like other cycles.

that game looks like a game called widelands, my favorite games is either glest, sudden strike, steel panthers world at war, or warzone 2100, spring 1944 is okay too.

My friend, those images are simply too BIG.

Please either use small thumbnails or a link. If posting lots of images, a link is recommended.

Image guidelines:
-Use of one or two large images is fine. After that, links for more images is recommended.
-The Spoiler Tag does NOT stop the image from loading!! You'll still make the person load large images. Please do NOT use the spoiler tag for that purpose. It can be used for a single large image to better format the post, but to conserve, please instead post links to the images.
-Please avoid posting images larger than 1024x768. If they must be large and absolutely cannot be resized, please post a thumb or a link.
-It's recommended to use a trusted site for hosting images. Imageshack is a good one, as is Photobucket.
-Animated GIFs are NOT recommended to place multiple times. If it doesn't serve any real purpose by being animated, a still image will do. In fact, animated images should generally be limited to profile pictures and the smilies.
-Images are recommended in JPG or PNG. GIF can be used if you don't mind the bad color restrictions. JPG is optimal for most images because it can be compressed very well. PNG is recommended if alpha (transparency) is needed.
-Some sites allow you to create "photo albums", which are simply a set of images stored on one page. This is created by default when you upload multiple files to Imageshack, and is an effective way of showing off multiple images without cluttering up the board or having dozens of links the viewer must click. You could also use your own site to have a "gallery" of images in one location for those who purposely wish to view more images.

These aren't necessary rules, and COMMON SENSE must be used for posting. These have been copied onto the official forum rules.

Cheers. [Insert non existant beer smiley here, simply because nobody has still made the smiley, as per the request in general discussion. :().

For a link, just place the link to the image, as it is. For example, you would use the [img] tag surrounding an image to parse the link as an image. To make it a link, just leave it without the tag and it will automatically be recognized as a link (don't forget the http://!). Alternatively, you can use [url]http://linktosite.xxx[/url] (where http://linktosite.xxx is the actual URL). As well, it's possible to use [url=http://linktosite.xxx]Text to Display[/url].

Maybe we do have to state some rules that are supposed to be common sense...  :|
Well, it's kinda related to the bandwidth... Also, it's related to loading them too for some people...

For me it is just annoying to scroll all the way down..The images load, so putting them in spoilers would work for me. Then again, spoilers that didnt load images would be awesome omega.

That wouldn't work so hot. Spoilers simply change the CSS attributes of the spoiler div so it is hidden or visible. In order to be loaded after being displayed, it would require dynamic creation of the text, something that wouldn't work so well with the way the posts are stored.

unlimited and so many countless feuters of the awesome AND amazing stronghold 2 game.... i has taken lots and lots of my time... no offense... but it has taken more time even more then playing glest.

(no offense!) but who would look at glest while theres a stronghold 2 standing overthere. this game is so amazing. i tried the demo. first thing i realy like at the game. was the soundtrack. especielly this one:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgfuldzEh6A
enjoy!

i bought the game and dragged into th world of endless playing. it was hell amazing. honestly. i realy like the armed peasant units. my favourites. they cost pretty cheap. they are powerfull in numbers. they can whistand enemy sieges. they are brave. and they carry pitchforks to harvest the enemy with it. they can be recruited without any requirments or hard mintainance costs. dont underistmate militia or angry rebelling people! thats what gave those peasants my respect. cuz they fight for me without saying "we want shiny armours and enchanted swords and magic horses! yay" they carried their pitchforks and charged off the enemy armies. my last battle was a battle where militia and conscriptees were severly used (thats me alright using those fellows) i made my "sir arabian warlord's tacticless rush"  i used my archers to go and attack to kill some enemies and weaken enemy sentries at the walls. they made a low damage and got beaten. then. the 2nd wave of my followers (armed militia and spearmen and 53 laddermen) charged through with the enemy watching them attacking helplessly. the enemy start raining arrows at my guys and started the screaming of soldiers massing at the enemy walls they use their ballistae and threw their giant logs at my guys and lots and lots and lots of troops fly in the air from the impact and die. my soldiers swarm and enemy close their gats my ram is dead and my laddermen hurl the ladders over the walls and evrey boddy starts climbing up and therehundreds and hundreds of guys just fighting and killing around they were realy realy realy going at it and enemy knights and pikemen just pwning a swarming army fighting thhem. lots and lots and lots and lots of punching and stabbingand chopping and killing and shouting over the walls. then my men started hurling more ladders to enter the inner parts of the castle
(the first frontal wal was already swarmed with ladders) my remainig laddermen with ladders i ordered to start putting ladders over wall. and the laddermen with no ladders stared punching and kicking (they have no weapons)
and it was very hard micromanaging because of the computer having trouble (not lag. but it was'nt doing things right like my troops just standing around without fighting) and this was about an end for all and it got to a hard part of killing the last enemy keep hardly. the enemy king pwned them awfully bad. they finally kill him. and i won! yay me!

post opanians about if you like the stronghold series games.

if the stronghold legends is out i will certinly try it without a moment of hastation. i dont have a newsteller here so am gonna try and check over the sites any time possible (daily)

Dragon age: origins RAWR!! Okay thats fantasy :D but then, Mount&Blades, Horse and Fires, Mount&blades: Warband are all the best Medieval games out there, there are no competition, Mount and Blades have such a good feeling and realism + loadpack of mods to make more realistic, and remember forever replayability this game is the Best, hands down!

I liked stronghold for a while, but it has terrible cutscenes, a bad battle system on the ground, and lots of other things were ridiculous, frankly.  For example, the keep is immune to attack, the walls are like 10 feet tall, and the knights are just too powerful, yet they lack a charge capability.

A lot of your images don't work.

No joke...

Dude, please understand there is no need to post large images. By simply posting the link to the image itself, you will have just as many pictures that the viewer can look at when they wish AND everything is more accessable, as well as MUCH less server load. Win-win.

Really M&B is a simulated diplomacy game, you start out as however you choose to, but even if you chose to be noble, you still start the same way as everyone else. After you have gotten strong enough, you can pledge allegiance to one of the kings within the game and help them on campaigns to conquer the continent. Eventually, when you have a high enough reputation you can break from your allegiance and conquer a hostile town/city/castle and declare yourself a king/ruler. throughout the game there are also HUGE AMOUNT of quests to complete, the game also contains THOUSANDS of different weps and armours; crossbow to throwing dagger, bow and arrow to lance, sword to pike and so on, even hallberds, scimitars, daggers, and rocks. And dont forget the clubs, darts, and charged horses on move! You can choose to battle for yourself or chose computer to generate a battle without you there, the result is often way better with you in command as you can issue orders to your army to keep it as combat efficient as possible.
