Anyone here play anything from Nippon Ichi Software (NIS)? Such as Disgaea, Phantom Brave, Prinny: Can I be the Hero?, ZHP, Makai Kindom, or ClaDun? They make some Good Cute/Comical RPGs. Great time wasters!! Currently playing ClaDun and Cant wait Disgaea 4!

As you see they are quite over the top/borderline insane good for those who want to laugh more than be immersed in a deep story.   The focus is more on gameplay than anything else!

Black Ops was all hyped up and MW2 was so good. Everyone thought Black Ops would be awesome, so they bought it. Black Ops was a horrible game.

Gabbe: MW3 will be a good game. As for BF3 I will probably buy it, but they need to fix that horrid first-person look. The way you can see your feet in BF3 while you're doing stuff is awesome, but Crysis 2 did that first, and it looks better in Crysis 2.

Well art style should not determine gameplay...

Disgaea and a large chunk of NIS games are a Turn Based Strategy RPGs (same genre as Final Fantasy Tactics) which would probably be very boring to heavy Action based FPS gamers. This is for people who like more unique comedic twist to the classical rpg gaming experience. Especially completionists, who like grinding to max level, and collecting legendary gear. Disgaea games actually do very well with a large fan base.

The other game is a Action RPG Dungeon crawler, with an retro NES art style, and a unique leveling system. Game focuses on customization of your characters, which is almost like a puzzle game in and of its self.

Look at the most used guns. Compare the stats of the FAMAS to any other gun. The spawn system is shittey. It looks like WaW, no improvement. No, new 3d models is not an imrpovement in any way.

Something is popular doesn't mean its good. Justin bieber popular, he a good singer? No.

Frames per second doesn't count when comparing graphics. You'd have the rig to run it? go! And if the consoles can run it, any PC ment for gaming is gonna take it on low settings atleast. Anyone able to play BC2 will be able to play BF3. confirmed, DICE tweetar.

MW3 will be as hyped and as horrible as its predecessors MW2 and BO. BO was made by treyarch, not IW, but they use the same engine just that MW3/2 engine is a little modified. (AKA IWengine4). I saw its E3 trailer, and it looked EXACTELY LIKE MW2. No improvement -> no buy.

Zero Punctuation is great, but I have to recommend Extra Credits to anybody interested in games as an art form (even if I don't agree with 100% of everything they have to say).

BF3 FP view is decent when put into comparison with CoD. If you ever looked on their E3 trailer then you can clearly see that the guy sweeps over the enviroment like it was nothing htere and he just a ghost. In BF3 you can now also see your feet, if you look down on the ground, you can see parts of your body, like legs and maybe some upper body. This is something new to BF, it was in Crysis and it is non-existant in the minds of Activision. Never been in CoD, sometimes they managed to script it in, but when you look down, your feet disappears. Tell me one friggin thing that IW improves with their new MW3? ONE THING. Thats right, they never put any work at all into their new content. This looks exactely like a DLC ffs!

  The netcode gave lagshots and everything with it on MP. The cololurs where also all glossy and i was generally not impressed.

Watched the stream now, so Seth, you are wrong again, they've fixed the first person running/wealking reloading animation. BF3 > MW3. By a huge margin.

Does anyone remember Rise of Nations? Such an amazing RTS! Strange how units + ground were 3D while structures and trees were 2D but it worked. Loved air combat of this game.

Yeah I loved it. It's a few of AOE-like rts games I have actually played through.
I like it mainly because of it covers wide range of historical time-periods(from Ancient to modern times).

Crysis 2 is finally trying to live up to it's expectations!



Though I for one will not play through the game again just because they released such a patch too late. I am waaaitiiiiiing for this: Looks like arma but I want any military sim I can get!

I saw all that last night. I really wish Crytek had re-thought the multiplayer, and put DX11 in on release. Even if they released a year later it wouldn't been worth it. The campaign maps also need re-doing(too many "why can't I go here?!" moments). Did you notice that Crysis 2 has an advanced graphics menu now?

Also Crytek is starting to use too much bloom. Bloom is pretty realistic, but it's not something where more is better.

Can't wait for the editor...

Yeah, i noticed Crysis finally has what every other game have had since \\insert what decade here\\!! (no I didn't but thats because I can't update it and steam support is being an asshole today..)

MW3 won't top this, ever, same goes for Xboxport extreme edition, Crysis 2. Not even with DX11. You are allowed to feel retarded for saying Crysis 2 would have anywhere close to better graphics.

Been playing this free MMORTS, called Spiral Knights. Got it on Steam, and it's pretty fun. It's kinda limiting at times though, if you play it...you'll see why. But otherwise it's pretty fun.

But, I better get back to testing MG/GAE now, while I still have time. But it's so fun...

Once Allison is well, we’d like to use any excess money to pay that forward by helping to create jobs that allow others to build their dreams, and, in doing so, maybe change the industry for the better. We would like to create a fund to publish quality games.

This could be interesting.  I'm a big fan of Extra Credits and the idea of them working with indie upstarts to create games is very appealing to me.
