Interestng POV, I'd never have thought of it that way.
Anyways, when you're talking of a port, you usually mean a port to a system other than the one the software was originally made for.
Glest was originally made for Windows. So a port will be a port to another OS such as Linux, Mac OSX, *BSD, even JAVA (though JAVA is not an actual OS, it is in a broader sense a System separate of Windows or any other actual OS it's running on), just to mention a few...

That said, software development usually follows the OS's development. So if the software was originally made for say Windows Vista, further development will try and make it work on Windows 7, hopefully keeping it backwards compatible with Vista...

That said... I'm pretty sure MG, or any of the other Glest engines for that matter, has no special version for Windows 7.
But... to make sure... ask a moderator or admin (preferably Titi

) to move this to the MegaGlest board, that's where it belongs, isn't it?
