This is where I learned it from (omega's guide):
http://glest.110mb.com/blender_tutorial4.php
That's the concerning part of the guide for exporting. ;)

Thanks a million Jda, I don't think I'd ever figure it out on my own. :) :)

Well, you probably didn't get a response because noone with knowledge to answer catched your post before you yourself replied saying you'd solve it.
Either that or nobody likes you. :P

Actually, this part of the forum is rather recent and most posts in here were moved from other sections (mainly the Mods subforum).
I guess there's just not much people coming to this section to check for new posts just yet. :(
Hey, nobody answered my thread about combining different texture sizes and it's still open (unlike yours which you "closed" by saying it was solved).

There are actually many many many many many many (you get the idea) other "old" posts on tools for Glest scattered around the forum, it's just the admins and moderators who moved the other ones here didn't get to move those too.
But if you use the "Search" bar on the top-right of this page and type in e.g. "export g3d" you'll get several topics. ;)

Well... if you couldn't find the answer you needed in the search results, posting the question was the correct next thing to do.

We're all here for the fun of it and some of us will gladly help others when we can, out of our own free will, noone's getting paid for it. ;)

EDIT: Removed my own ranting-mode part of this post, not really useful...  :look:

well I didn't reply, because I saw that blackman already solved it.

But for all these problems in general please first look here:

The wikia guide is nice and gives you good tips but I myself think omega's guide is more complete and actually "cleaner" (as in better organised / laid out ).

I do wish omega himself would edit the wikia as the wikia is (or should be) the main documentation center for Glest.

Anyone else could do that (more or less "copy" omega's guide, at least regarding exporting) to the wikia but NOT withouth omega's permission of course, otherwise it would be copyright infringement I believe!  :look: :look: :-X

So, omega, if you happen to read this, what do you say?  ;)

Well, you can if you'd like. I'm personally looking for an admin for the glest wiki, but its not Martino or any of the glest team, and nobody else I can find. Not sure how we can possibly clean up the wiki without active adminship.

BTW, as I have stated before, everything I create unless I say otherwise is under the CC-BY-NC-SA. In short, as long as its free and follows the same license (or any CC license really), you can use it provided I'm credited (in wikis, you would use the reference for that, never credit in the body of an article. Refence section shows where the information comes from, which would allow you to use with ease).

Of course, even that license doesn't have to be followed if you ask for permission.

Now, if only we had an admin... :(
