GAE specific Magitech
« on: 29 April 2010, 16:21:19 »
Possibly very silly question:

I was under the impression there was a tweaked magitech for GAE and I don't mean FPM! I recall daniel.santos (I think) mentioning an implementation of the guard and patrol commands in magitech (which I myself think I recall having actually seen them in there).

Is that tweaked magitech somewhere to be found and downloaded from? Or am I imagining stuff?..  :o :o :o :P

I've got a slightly souped up magitech, just with the new guard & patrol commands, and rejigged some attack commands to get around a rather troublesome problem I've recently discovered with unit's that have attack commands that can only target in one field. I'm planning to add some fancy new effects at some stage, but probably wont seriously work on it until a few more new features have made their way into the engine.

A future version of GAE may include it, or perhaps more likely it will be a mod/campaign for GAE.

Are you SURE you don't mean FPM? Because everything you described is an FPM element. The units were given guard and patrol commands and more, and Daniel would know because he helped create it. As far as I know, there is NO other than FPM.

Even if it was...FPM...it is not available anyways.... so  ::)
Doesn't matter right, if Silnarm already has something similar...  :|

Erm, might be... as there's no other... it probably was FPM... ;D

Well, in spite of what I said above... I don't currently have FPM in my computer anymore. :(
Stiil, you're right, this is very cool:

A mod/campaign for GAE sounds interesting too. ;)

The closest to a beefed up tech is tech mk 2 though I don't know if it runs on GAE,(It should cuz it runs on normal glest and mega-glest), for magic I have no idea

Erm, that's not at all the point, wyvern...

GAE has many tons of features neither the original Glest nor MegaGlest have. Modding Magitech to include (at least some of) these features is what we're talking about. ;)
