Game Won't Run

I am running windows 7 64x, and I grabbed the download of the newest version for windows.  When I try to run the executable, a windows pops up for a second, and the program immediately crashes. 

Then, multiple error log text files are created in the directory.  All of them read "log file", except for one text file called glestadv.

It's contents are as follows:

0: Core data

------------------------------
So, does the program just hate my computer, or do I need to do something to set this up?  All help would be appreciated.

I had this once. Update your graphics driver, that worked for me. While you're at it, update everything, Windows 7 is so new it needs it!

Hi Dritominous,

  It's a 'side-by-side' install, you need to extract the contents of the zip into your Glest installation directory.

  There is an installer for 0.2.12b, but it's all the same data as regular Glest, so if you have Glest installed already, just extract the zip there.

BTW, does it only work with the original glest, or can I use the megaglest directory?  (I doesn't really matter, but I'm just curious)

I think that would work ok, but haven't actually tried it myself.
