German tutorial translations Megaglest v. 3.3.4.
« on: 2 May 2010, 14:44:33 »
I just translated the tutorials for a friend since I couldn't find any German language files for the tutorials. Then I thought I could share the files in case anyone is interested.

I used the English language files from Megaglest v. 3.3.4.

basic tutorial

advanced tutorial

Then it's for the Megaglest instead, and thanks for you effort.

I just ran diff -s /usr/local/games/glest/tutorials/basic_tutorial/basic_tutorial_english.lng /usr/local/games/megaglest/tutorials/basic_tutorial/basic_tutorial_english.lng and no, they're not identical.
I have megaglest 3.3.2 installed though, not 3.3.4. But if they changed it in 3.3.2, I don't think they'd change it back to vanilla's version later on...  :look:

I would also have translated things in the game itself like "stone" "gold" etc but I don't know how.

Those are included in the techtree, but it won't work, unless you translate _everything_, including in the unit XML-s.

I haven't said that. It will mess up with the links, but if you correct it, it will be okay.

no don't do that, its a bad idea, because this will just result in a german glest instead of an english one.

You asked it too late ;D

Now that I think about it, it may cause sync error in multiplayer games...
