Masterserver is coming!!!

Just for your info, we successfully joined a game now using the new masterserver! I'm really really happy about this!

We try to get everything cleaned up now, so we hopefully see a new release very soon!( but we need some more days)
This new release will have (simple)masterserver  and crossplatform support!

In additiona to Titi's announcement, we should be able to easily add downloading of game content using the new library we are using (we chose libcurl).

Now that we have bridged the gap between linux and windows (and Mac??) we can brging the community together with a master server! :)

By the way: "join internet game" and "join game" What difference?

@tom: join internet game shows a list of available servers that are published on the masterserver.
If you create a game now and open a network slot you can choose to publish this game on the masterserver now. By this others can see it in the list( join internet games) and can connect to this server.

Dear titi and Softcoder!

I met a glest the BUG:
Today I compiled the SVN version of glest windows inside the source code and successfully to get glest_game.exe. I ran it, when I entered the "Internet Game" menu, and then I press the "Refresh List" button, I pressed the 3 consecutive times, then prompted message: "glest closed". I can only restart the computer, and then re-enter the game menu, I once again click on "Internet Game" menu, and then I press "Return" button, find the game can not return to the main menu, the game stops responding There was not a reaction, my mouse stopped responding.

By the way: I use the operating system is: Vista 32bit

Yeah, masterserver is nice, now we just need the other one...php server...and other
Only bad thing is game out of sync issues, and different data issues...and crashing for no reason....which you can not tell unless you have debug on...but sometimes debug can be a problem too I guess  :|

Perhaps this is a problem, I think it is temporary, and may soon solve all may have to wait for the latest glest that there is, I think this is so, you know what I mean, you have to wait Softcoder or titi answer! Thank you!

If you are talking about Elim getting ended too soon, then that is not really a problem...besides for him...in-game  ::)
The problem was that Titi attacked him first, yesterday, so he lost...first...  ::)  :|

2MB cache memory
Serial ATA
1x 250 hard drive
1x INTEL core 2 DUO (dual core)
MicroTower


HP ProLiant ML350T G6, Xeon E5520 2.26G

You can get the specs off the internet

Might use one fo them for glest...

If you actually did buy a server, you might a well ship it to Titi or Softcoder...  ::)
I can't try it right now, but maybe Softcoder just turned it "off"... or something  ::)

If the server is softs main computer it might have gone cause he just turned it off yeah...
