Jumpman! flash game

OK, so technically it's not yet a game - unless you apply your own set of rules to it and play, in which case more power to you.

Either way, I've been working on learning ActionScript 3 via Flixel. So far this is the result.

Future releases will include additional sprites/tiles, goals, maps, objects to collect, score tracking, etc. I'm learning as I go. Opinions are appreciated.

yes, currently there is nothing to do in the level/game. I'm working on it slowly over time.

and I remembered the original jumpman game from my childhood and called this one jumpman also because all he can do is jump

I kinda love...these type of games...retro or not...
modern ones are nice too though...(glest?)

Yes, that's the jumpman game as best I can tell. I don't recognize the level but it's been decades I'm sure, lol.

I've gotten pickups (like coins in mario) working but stopped at the moment to work on another project for my daughter. She's almost 3 and she always asks me if she can play the jumpman game. She likes how she can control it. I'm going to make a version that only uses one button for her to play.
