I was just wondering...

Does it take internet to play glest? I know it takes internet to go on internet and be on forums and such. But when playing the actually game does it... I always play it with interent on and I have limited interent time per month (hard to explain) so if I don't use internet when playing could really help. A couple of time I played it without it on and a white screen/nothing shows and sometimes it works fine or does not having interent cause problems. And do you need internet when playing multiplayer (it makes sence that you should)

You need internet for multiplayer, but not for single player

I don`t know the cause, but if its only sometimes, it is one of these stupid "keep-my-child-away-from-the-computer" stuff?

Yeah, you do...unless they implement an offline type of game in MG...  ::)
Yeah I know what you mean...by limited Internet....somebody I knew had that type... ::)
if you get a white screen, then you had problems...
but now, the multiplayer for megaglest...is good...and stable...atleast if you are to linux to linux or windows to windows...
we still need to test for these out of sync issues....  ::)

You only need Internet if you are going to play multiplayer on the Internet. Multiplayer over a local network and singleplayer do not require it, although it used to be that a server would be created even for singleplayer, resulting in possible issues with firewalls restricting it. I don't think this is the case now with GAE.
