gradient tool

Can someone tell me why the tool keeps crashing the editor?  It seems to happen when using the gradient at the corners of the map, and even the edges.  It says the program has stopped working and closes it down.

Unfortunately the (late) answer to your question is I don't know. I couldn't reproduce it (GAE official), I think you may be using an old version. What version are you using? Is there anything more specific that you do before it crashes or is it every time you go to the edge?

I'm not sure the version, it's the editor that came with megaglest 3.3.4.  It seems to only crash if I try to use the gradient on the map corners, I can come down the sides but it's over when I reach a corner.

Ok, I managed to reproduce it with brush radius 1. Has it crashed with any other brush widths? Radius 2 is exactly the same as radius 1 if you can make do with that.

Also, the GAE map editor is much prettier than the megaglest one ;)

Really, huh?  ::)
I just downloaded that, and they both look and seem to be almost the same thing...
I thought titi "ported" off the map editor from GAE to MG...  :|

The SourceForge downloads are definitely not the same...
http://sourceforge.net/projects/megaglest/files/in_development/megaglest3.3.4-dev_i386_win32_bin.7z/download

Did the most updated one not make it into the SourceForge package then?

Thanks for the help.  I'll try it out though I've just been making maps without the gradient tool.
