Musics

Hey, was wondering if it was possible to switch musics when some kind of battle starts, doing a battle with a music like tech is not really motivating if ya know what i mean ( no offense to the ones who created it ).
So maybe that change can be done in MG?

Do you mean like a playlist? I think we have discussed that before then, but still...  :|
Oh, and in my opinion, the music for tech is fine for me, but I can clearly understand why you would want a change.
It is great though...

no he is talking about different music in different situations, fx, when you start a battle, a fast paced(fx), music would start, and when no combat were coing on you would have simple progressing building like music.

Oh, ok... I guess the background music tries to be that already...but yeah, I see now.
Well now, I guess it is possible...  :|
Would be good an cool though I guess...
They will think about, once they(devs) and we(testers) know that MG is stable on multiplayer...!
Anyways, cool, it is a possibility.

He means, that starting the game will play normal music, as your units engage in combat, the music changes to a faster pace, etc.

Just needs a normal script, since "if your unit receives damage then change music to battle" would come out stupid, if you hit your own unit for one time :)

I know how this maybe can get done without any further coding, a unit attack sound could be the battle music overriding the regular music.

How many times exactly, do you want to hear the music played over itself? :|

??? uhm, make it so that the faction have no music and that the workers constantly play the same main theme of the faction over and over again. And make the soldiers have a attack only sound with the soundtrack.

Is possible, but I wonder...since some people are fine with how the music is like now, then I guess they would need to make this optional...but then that would be kinda weird...   :P
We'll see...after...well, just later

Ok, you have one unit attack, a war theme has started, he attacks again and again and again, the war theme starts again and again and again, until your sound-cards and speakers explode. :P

My proposal: When a unit of the player's is damaged by an enemy unit,(from ANY enemy team), or when one of the players units deals damage to an enemy unit,(from ANY enemy team) the war theme starts up. The regular music would fade into the war theme, and when the fighting was over the war theme would fade back into the regular theme. The war theme would change back to the regular theme after 15 seconds had passed from the end of the last skirmish.

I'm neutral too, if this is implemented, as long it is somehow optionable, then I am fine with it...both would be cool...for now how it is like it is fine for me...

I'm inclined to think most modders wouldn't be bothered to make/collect that much music.
