Personally I would classify Dark Magic as Gold. Although it is rough around the edges it uses 99% original content.

As I recall, there are few if any new sounds, so that's what brought it down.

Yup.  Just to clarify, Solunar is the same thing as Sun and Moon.  I usually use the Solunar name now, because there is already another mod called Moon.

The system I proposed was just for breaking things up into classifications.  For the opinion stuff, there would have to be something else.  I think maybe that's where we could have somebody review each mod and give some ratings. 

Criteria for ratings:

0-10% Models
0-10% Textures
0-10% Animations
0-10% Sounds
0-10% Music
0-10% Icons
0-10% AI
0-10% Particles
0-10% Balance
0-10% Misc
=0-100% overall rating

Grades:
A=90-100%
B=80-89%
C=70-79%
D=60-69%
F=0-59%

So for example, things could look something like this:

Gold tier:
Dogs: This mod includes two factions, Corgies and Dalmatians.
* John.d.h gives this mod an A.

This is a review.  Let's pretend it's a few paragraphs long.

* HopScotch gives this mod a B.

Ditto, but some of the barking sounds were kinda annoying, and I didn't care for the animations.  Also, the Dalmatians' Fire Truck unit was way over-powered.

That's true.  I'd prefer to just keep Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Stone or Lead.  Maybe we could put the reviews in a different topic and just put the final grade in this one?

I like john's rating method. I dunno if we could review most of these things, and there would be confusion about who rates what, but I like the grading system. What is the 10% for misc though? I suppose it could be novelty of the faction (ie: how unique or new is it? Does it feel like a recycled stereotype, or is it totally unique and new?).

I think it is under development...just somewhat at a slow pace. Better then abandoned mods though, or ideas itself.

Is this going to be separate from the faction reviews and gradings, or is the gradings and reviews going into here? Because if the gradings and reviews are going into here (which I recommend, since they should all be in the same place, rather than two separate lists of topics) then we don't need to sticky the 'Faction Reviews and Gradings...' because we simply use it to link to the reviews...

Any way how should we rate the packs? 1 faction has good sounds but bad models, and 1 faction has no sound but cool models...

We could rate each faction separately, but I don't think that's really necessary.  Just use your best judgment, I guess.

Abandonware:    Mods that have been abandoned at any stage of development.

I would really like to protest... I know the anims aren't the best, and the improved sounds haven't been released yet, but 30-59%? I do think it is better than that.

I hate to say this but megapack shouldn't be gold, I'm really sorry to say this since its one of my favorite mods, I'm saying this cuz some of the models aren't new and neither are the sounds, some animations aren't new either , kinda sad since its definitely one of the best and most popular mods but I just thought I should point this out.

It is Gold for me, since I also compare it to other factions/mods too. Mods can be good and all, have their own sounds, but they have to be fun too, and some mods kinda are not so fun...which is why I still don't think we need ratings. After all, there was a poll, but I guess we don't listen to them anymore, or since we have a good rating system, discard it right?
