First of all, I designed Fantasy Romans, not Elim.
I've taken a college lecture series on Romans, and I can tell you that the Fantasy Romans faction is 0% like the actual Romans.
Fantasy romans is not that badconsidering that its fantasy not reality and I am very good when it comes to military history, weapons, and tactics, I agree that the units don't look like what the romans used or were called but nice nonetheless. Here are some improvements, the archer should look nubian or arab not white roman since the romans didn't have many archers, second of all the cavalry was armed with spears and short swords and was lightly armored the cavalryman should have a long round shield and a spear, the cataphract/heavy cavalry should have barded armor and a charge attack with the spear and then a melee sword the spearmans helm could be improved a lot and the spear should be man high and have a broad head, what you have is more of a glaive, the guard is something like a varangian I suppose, I haven't checked out the new stuff though, the shields should be tall and rectanular, not square and there could be a pilum thrower, glest ai's are dumb so you have to separate units instead of just having a legionare you'd have to have a spearman, swordman, and pilum thrower to cover the legionares weapons, there are other historical faults and much of the equipment is Byzantine, but its fantasy romans and I think its fine for what its supposed to be
